One of the most frequently asked questions we get is: “What types of animals do you offer care for?” The short answer is of course all creatures great and small.

The more comprehensive answer is that ACGS specializes in the care and treatment of: donkeys, mules, horses, pigs, cows, longhorns, bison, zebu, alpacas, llamas, guanacos, vicunas, ostriches, emus, cassowary, dogs, cats, snakes, tortoises, turtles, lizards, rabbits, birds, fish, pocket pets (hamsters, rats, mice, guinea pigs) and goats!

Here are some fun facts for !

Despite being up to one inch thick, an elephant’s skin is actually quite sensitive. They protect it from the sun, and from insects, by regularly taking mud baths!

Female elephants have the longest pregnancy of any mammal at 22 months!

Elephants are the only mammal that cannot jump.
