We want to thank the Tucson community for coming out to make this such an enjoyable event! 🍁

The Helping Every Animal Receive Treatment and Saint Francis in the Foothills United Methodist Church, and HOD volunteers did an excellent job at manning such a big turnout. We are proud of everyone and thankful they are on our team!

Thank you The Drive Tucson, Garrett James and the Wanderers (you sounded fantastic!), Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary, Paws_Without_Borders and all of the cars and vendors for all joining us today to make this event a success.

Oakley went in for his routine valley fever bloodwork. Although Oakley is adopted, we vowed to make sure his bloodwork was taken care of until he’s on a stable medication.

We have 8 dogs in our rescue right now, because we are on an intake freeze, as you all know.

6 of these dogs are a shade of black, so if you think Black Dog Syndrome is a myth, you may want to think again.

These dogs are exceptional; in fact, we have gotten applications that would be PERFECT for them, and they pass.

So, please consider one of these beautiful angels. They need adopted, some of them have been waiting months, years.

📍Shar Khan, Jack and Donovan are all in Dallas, TX.

📍Maggie is in Fort Collins, CO.

📍Thoreau and Amber are in Tucson, AZ.

Snuggles, our miracle girl, just had her final blood draw at VCA.

We made an update yesterday that donations have all but been tricking in, so we desperately need help.

We are mainly on an intake freeze because we know the donations are coming in slowly and we have ongoing expenses for the dogs in our care; it’s the responsible thing to do. For some reason, the responsible reason always has our dogs forgotten by most people. It’s the reality. We know the need is great everywhere. We know that. We are so thankful for everyone who still keeps our unadopted dogs on their radar. 💜

We are THRILLED to announce sweet Roy has found his forever home! His new parents absolutely LOVED him from the minute they met him. 💜

They took advantage of all training sessions provided with Happy Gentle Dog to let Roy settle in their home and into their life’s seamlessly, and we couldn’t be more thankful for adopters like them “getting it.”

We want to thank Dale and Tracey for saving his life, Kim and Matt for seeing him through his training journey and everyone cheering him along the way.

Happy Tails, Roy! Your life starts NOW!

We fundraised $75 yesterday! Thank you to those who donated - we appreciate it!

Please keep sharing and consider donating. This is vital for us.

We have donations all but trickling in.

Maggie’s bill was a lot, and we raised $100 or so. Thoreau went to the vet yesterday and that was $100, visit and medication (his foster kindly picked up and donated the cost of his other meds!). Roy’s final training bill is $1475 for his 6 weeks. We NEED DONATIONS. It’s not crying wolf, we are desperate.

Sweet Maggie, enjoying a gorgeous Colorado fall day with her foster siblings. We still need a forever home for Maggie!

Facebook friends, we need some serious help for our beloved Maggie.

A bio from her wonderful foster and friend, Amy:

“Maggie Moo: A true gentle giant with a surprisingly deep voice - she could sing opera!

Maggie has had a tough start to life, but is an eternal optimist who truly wants to find forever family, love and acceptance. She was previously adopted through our program and had a loving Dad, but it turned out apartment life without the company of another dog in a new city, was not the best fit.

Maggie LOVES stuffy toys -she mostly prefers playing toy tug of war with you or another dog, and loves to prance around with one in her mouth, or cuddle with one to sleep. She is incredibly playful and is always looking for a dog sibling to play with her!

She enjoys being covered in cozy blankets when she's curled up and is also a dream leash walker.

Maggie doesn't need a ton of exercise, just a good 20 minute walk for sniffs and some light cardio. She is not reactive, but will occasionally bark at other dogs passing by.

Cat, dog, and kid friendly. Maggie does not want to be the alpha, but would love to be siblings to a playful dog who would want to spend time with her. She loves company.

Maggie loves her food and will get quite vocal with excitement when you're preparing her bowl.

She would love to have a big fenced backyard (6-8ft ) where she could be let out to catch some rays and a nap, and get the occasional zoomies.

Our sweet Maggie Moo is approximately 4-5 years old and does have some back pain, due to a degenerative condition (spondylosis). Her pain is being managed by medication and she woudl benefit from massage and possibly some chiropractic a few times a year. Her condition are essential spurs on her spinal cord, but she’s happy, playful and will live as long as she is comfortable.

We can't promise you that your years with Maggie as forever family will be long, but they will be meaningful and rich. She is a once in a lifetime doggie soul, who has the capcity for deep love, and has the soul of a healer/ therapy dog.

We really need an adopter for Maggie who will give her the world like she deserves. She will pay it back ten fold.

Hope of Deliverance, Inc. will sponsor her meds and anything she will need through this.

Maggie is in Fort Collins, Colorado, but we can arrange transport for someone who will lovingly add her to their family. She is spayed, had a gastropexy, chipped, vaccinated and has a clean f***l and 4DX test.

H.O.D.: Mission Statement

Hope of Deliverance is a (501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to being the voice for the voiceless. Our mission is to partner with rural animal shelters, specifically those with low or no veterinary care available at the shelter, to save as many dogs as possible.

Hope of Deliverance will provide preventative care to these shelters, such as funding for vaccinations, microchips, and spay and neuter procedures directly at the shelter before adoption, as well as this care for the dogs we pull from the shelter who go into our foster homes. Our focus will be on the over-populated shelters in New York, Southern Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Our goal is to aide in the prevention of increased canine population by raising funds for spay and neuter procedures and by spreading awareness with educational seminars. These seminars will target community awareness of overpopulation and educate owners to create responsible, healthy, companionship with their furry family member!
