“Well deserved! HOD only pulls dogs when they can know they can afford their care (it takes restraint and a strong backbone, but it's the most responsible, ethical approach to rescue). They don't carry outstanding balances at the vet--they always pay. They go above and beyond to do heartworm/tick fever tests and f***l tests for all dogs who enter the rescue in addition to neuters and vaccines (Rare!). They ALWAYS take back their own when adopters fall short. Rescue work isn't easy and there are so many incredible groups across Arizona doing this important, worthwhile work, but HOD will always be my favorite!”

Maggie May gets her surgery tomorrow!
Maggie May gets her surgery tomorrow!

Miss Maggie May came to us from the streets of rural Texas. She was found roaming with a single puppy and when she came to the shelter, with only 12 kennels, you could see what horrible shape she was in. Maggie of course had heartworm and she went through treatment. She has had 6 months of down time to avoid clotting and tomorrow she goes in for her cherry eye repair, gastropexy and spay. It will be approximately $2,000 for all 3. Please consider donating to Maggie’s care! She is a special girl and deserves this life!

H.O.D.: Mission Statement

Hope of Deliverance is a (501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to being the voice for the voiceless. Our mission is to partner with rural animal shelters, specifically those with low or no veterinary care available at the shelter, to save as many dogs as possible.

Hope of Deliverance will provide preventative care to these shelters, such as funding for vaccinations, microchips, and spay and neuter procedures directly at the shelter before adoption, as well as this care for the dogs we pull from the shelter who go into our foster homes. Our focus will be on the over-populated shelters in New York, Southern Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Our goal is to aide in the prevention of increased canine population by raising funds for spay and neuter procedures and by spreading awareness with educational seminars. These seminars will target community awareness of overpopulation and educate owners to create responsible, healthy, companionship with their furry family member!
