Jingles will be heading to Austin Pets Alive and we have 8 dogs from a hoarding situation in Carrizo Springs heading to Pause for Paws in San Antonio. Our sweet Mistletoe has settled quite nicely in her hospice foster home. She loved the toys as much as she loves napping! We are so grateful to her foster family. It takes a special heart to willingly take on a dog with major medical issues💕🙏💕.

This sweet boy was found last weekend wandering the streets in north Uvalde, weak and emaciated. The woman that found him took him home to get him off the street and delivered him to animal control the next day, praying the rescue network could save him from euthanasia.

We immediately began to network him and reached out to a financial supporter to ask for help with his vetting. Many times a dog has a better chance of being rescued if someone can help pay for their vet care.

Thank you to Maria Lamboy for being his rescue angel. Leaving him on the street was not an option.

We saw these puppies posted on Facebook on Monday; they were being given away for free. We reached out and learned from the owner that she could no longer afford to care for them, but she wanted them to go to a good home. Today we received these itty bitty baby girls; so full of life, happy & healthy. Sometimes life happens, we’re just glad we could help keep these puppies safe until they are adopted💕🙏💕.

We love these photos! These 2 have a love hate relationship; a classic nemesis relationship when it comes to whose mom I am. It was so fun to watch them interact with each other while Mistletoe was with us; and like Maddie said, I’m her mom💕🙂💕.

We have some wonderful news to share; our sweet Mistletoe went to her hospice placement today! Mistletoe will be living in Del Rio with a wonderful military family. We will continue to coordinate Mistletoe’s vet care in Del Rio, with the help of Amanda Freeman. This sweet girl came into the Uvalde animal control the week before Christmas. She came in with 6 other dogs from the same location and sad circumstances for the owner. All of the other dogs were rescued and we have been working hard with the shelter volunteers to rescue her too.

January tested positive for heartworm, a deadly disease if left untreated and very expensive to treat. We arranged to pull January from the shelter tomorrow and she will be placed with our amazing foster in Devine, Texas who will care for January while she undergoes her heartworm treatment and gets healthy.

Tiffany was rescued in Del Rio about a month ago, after she was found weak and emaciated, by a kind man. The amazing Amanda Freeman coordinated vet & foster care for Tiffany, which helped strengthen her physically and emotionally. Today we helped secure rescue placement for Tiffany with Charming Pet Rescue & tomorrow we will transport her to Boerne. We are so glad to be part of Tiffany’s rescue story and even happier that she gets to start 2025 on her journey towards adoption💕🙏💕.

What other way would we start 2025?

No other way, but helping to rescue a teeny tiny little dog who showed up at a home in Devine, Texas. From the physical appearance of the dog she has missed quite a few meals and she has a healing scrape on her right temple. Thankfully she found refuge on the right porch and through a FB post kind hearted community members came together to keep her safe overnight. Today she was transported to Uvalde, Texas where we have received her and she is safe & warm with one of our amazing foster families. Tomorrow Peaches will transport to Charming Pet Rescue where she will be vetted and prepared to find a safe & loving adoptive home💕🙏💕.

Tonight we received the most amazing news; news we have been praying for since we rescued, fostered and placed Cameron, aka Cam. Our precious Cam was adopted shortly after November 22nd, when he was placed with Austin Pets Alive! This note from his adoptive family is answered prayer; this is why we don’t give up on them, they need us💕🙏💕.

We have had Cam for a little over 3 weeks and he is doing great. He is still a little shy and skittish, but we are making a lot of progress. He now initiates contact and wants pets. He also cuddles with my husband and me on the couch at night. He is still leery of strangers although he has warmed up to my best friend and her husband who he has now met a few times. At night, he sleeps in his crate or on the couch, still preferring to keep a little distance. But, in the morning he wants pets and attention and is full of energy.

The best thing is that he and my little rat terrier, Winne. have become best buds. They are about the same age and love to play and snuggle together. I think a lot of the progress he has made has been because of her. He seems to be much more comfortable around people if she is also there.

And just an aside, my husband and I both work from home, so we are with dogs most of the time. We also have a big backyard and he and Winnie have been loving running through all the leaves.”
