Britney Collins-Imhof August 21st Monday workshop is full and the start time is Noon!! We are so excited to have Britney back!! We do still have one spot open in the advance workshop Friday August 25th starting at 9 am. The Young Dog Friday has a start time of 1pm!

Ann’s Agility Academy Johnstown, PA) is considering hosting AKC Agility League this fall! This is a team agility sport, with at minimum 3 dogs per team, running 6 courses over a 12-week period.

We have two Sophmore Teams that have openings. Sophmore is open to any dog who has not yet earned an AKC title above the Open level in Standard and JWW.

You can run your dog at their regular or preferred height. Dogs over 10 years old can be designated as a Veteran and can run 2 heights below regular height.

We can build teams at 3 levels:

Novice (no titles), sophomore (open/novice titles), senior (excellent and up)

We will be setting and running courses at Ann’s Agility Academy on Friday evenings. A new course every two weeks. You can run the course as many times as you want. So that's 12 weeks total, but you don't have to come every week if you don't want to. You just need to get a score sometime during the two weeks.

AKC charges a handler fee of $30 once a year
AKC charges a League Dog Fee of $25 for each season. Ann’s agility will be charging $20 a week for use of their building and equipment.

Enrollment is open until September 4 and the competition runs from 9/18/23-12/10/23.

Molly is back from her “Texas” trip. Funny side note she was only in Texas for four hours or so… it was really a trip to New Mexico with a visit to Texas. A few important things. The next session of classes start this week (August 3rd). It will go for 6 weeks. Then we will have a short two week session followed by three weeks off! During the break the building will be available to rent. Also we have Britney scheduled twice at the end of August. She will be coming Monday August 21st for an afternoon workshop and Friday August 25th for a full day of workshops! Friday will be an advanced workshop followed by a young dog workshop. The cost is $100. I will be posting more on that in the next couple days. If you are interested in a spot let me know.

Lilly says good news or bad news, take it like you wish! We are delaying the start of our workshop to 8 am!!! Everyone in the first group gets to sleep in a bit! 😝 The first group will over lap with the second group for a little bit.… as of now there are only three in the second group since we had a last minute pull. We look forward to a great day of learning with Britney!! I will be sending out messages to everyone individually to make sure you are aware of the change!! Young dog will still be the same 2pm-5pm.

Lilly says Molly has been getting a lot better with all of the help she’s been receiving at our Britney Collins-Imhof workshops and guess what!! We have a last minute opening in our Britney workshop on Friday June 30th. 10:15-1:15! Spread the word!! Lilly wants all her friends to benefit from these workshops!!

Lateisha and Riza participated in their first agility trial today! They started their agility journey training at Ann’s Agility Academy a year and a half ago. Today they earned themselves two blue ribbons!! One in novice FAST and one in novice Standard! Way to go team Rita! 🙌🏼

We are thankful for all the interests we have had for the Britney workshop!! We are going to do two advanced workshops to fit everyone in! If you have reached out and said you were interested or paid you have a spot! At this time we do not have any spots open in the advanced workshops which will be handling for speed! Both workshops will be the same. If someone backs out we will have a spot and will post that a spot is available. The times for the workshops will be 7am-10 and 10:15am- 1:15. I will be reaching out to everyone to see if the time I picked for them works for them. We will still have a young dog workshop which will start at 2pm and the time is TBD (depends on the number of dogs that we have sign up). If you are interested in the young dog workshop please let me know! We will be limiting it to 5-6 dogs. Side note: Lilly doubled Qed two days in a row after the last Britney workshop! Pictured is Annie who is officially retired from agility at 11.5 years old!
