Greens, greens, greens! I've been missing the Farmers Market and seeing all my regulars, but wanted to make a post saying I'm still growing and have lots of greens ready this week! If you'd like to place an order, you can reply here, send me a message here or via text at 864.712.5930.

The story behind my microgreens journey started with my own health issues. Almost 3 years later, I am finally beginning to feel better and so I hope to share and encourage others who may be in the same journey.

The first steps to take when you have found yourself amidst serious burnout:

1) Rest. Because of burnout, you probably find yourself completely exhausted, even first thing in the morning. Probably experiencing pain, lack of emotion, probably gut issues. This bodily shutdown is a response to your complete overwhelm and lack of ability to cope. So, do as your body has commanded and REST.

2) Find yourself a good therapist. Life these days is not like the past. We run busy schedules always with an expectation of more. Most of us need someone to reel us in a bit, talk through past traumas that are affecting us and find a good balance to move forward.

3) Take care of your gut through healthy eating and proper supplementation. My own burnout was the start of my microgreens business and my partnership in my health and wellness company. We need to feed our souls and our bodies.

Thanksgiving is upon us! Microgreens are a beautiful addition to any holiday gathering. They are not only very nutritious, but also very flavorful and extra delicious!

I'll have available pea shoots, sunflower shoots, salad mix, spicy salad mix, broccoli, & purple radish.

If you'd like to order a box like the one pictured please message me by this Friday, November 10th so I can schedule out my planting. Boxes will be available for delivery or pickup Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov 21 & 22. If you're going out of town and need it sooner, please message me ASAP and I'll plant this week for you!

Please come support Midway Presbyterian Church's annual yard sale and bake sale this morning from 9am-1pm as they prepare for the holiday season and gifting many of Anderson 5's homeless children, sponsoring a child at Calvary Children's Home, and supporting the elderly Presbyterian community. My girls are also here touting their wares! We have custom slime, handmade paper-quilled earrings, and handmade bracelets!

Anderson Urban Microfarm is more than just a microgreens farm. I'm an urban farmer focused on mental wellness through feeding our bodies and minds. I'm a teacher and leader. I'm a dreamer and a go-getter.

My #1 focus is my amazing daughters and meeting their needs. In doing so, mine often became second. But I have worked very hard to feed my body and my soul over the last two years and out of that came Anderson Urban Microfarm.

I'm here to share with you what WORKS for me and my family. To share the research, the how-to's, and the let's-do-it's. I'm here to lead others back to THEIR dreams and go-gettums.

Did you know we have an amazing food cooperative right here in the Upstate? CAFE serves areas from Anderson to Walhalla, Long Creek to Clemson, Salem to Pickens. You can get fresh meat and produce from local farmers all over the region and it's delivered to your local area for pickup weekly!!! I have my microgreens available every week on the exchange!
