Bids are โLiveโ on our Southwest Cattledog Association Futurity Online Sale. Rodney is a 2yr old male that will be shown at the Southwest Cattledog Futurity. He is a medium build dog with a great handle and a ton of natural work to him. He isnโt overly aggressive but wonโt let something run off and will bite cleanly when asked. He has been used in the pasture to gather and pen yearlings and cows. He has been used to pen pairs with other dogs. He has a nice big outrun. Works well in the pens and is just easy to be around. Not only is he a great using dog but heโs great with kids.

He has been used in trial and ranch work. He has seen all types of cattle, sheep, and some goats. He has placed and won money at many trials. He is a very happy dog that wants to please. Gus is available in our up coming Online Sale June 20th-22nd during the Mountain States Stockdog Association National Finals. Gus is a coming 4 year old black and white intact male, trained by Frankie Acosta of Acosta Cowdogs . He is Sired by Frankieโs good red dog Sam, and out of a (Boon x crow) female named Sam who was raised by Kelby Cowley and now owned by John Stottlemyre. Gus is long legged and big boned. Gus is a fast moving strong dog who is big, yet athletic to boot. Gus has been trialed extensively all over the country. Gus won a round of the 2022 Southwest Cattledog Association Futurity and placed 7th in the average out of 88 dogs. He also was reserve champion in the Southwest Cattledog Association Maturity in 2023 and can run one last time in Southwest Cattledog Associations maturity this year. Gus also ran well at the Mountain States Stockdog Association 2023 national finals, making the short go in Nursery sheep and cattle classes. Gus has also been used to dog break cattle. He will work calves, yearlings, pairs or sheep. Work him on foot, off a quad, side by side, or horseback. He works by verbal and whistle commands. Gus has also been used as a lesson dog for beginner handlers. Anyone can work him. Gus is well tempered with other dogs and absolutely loves people. Gus has been trialed in open, and novice as well and has placed well on many occasions. He has also been used to sort cattle in open fields. If you are in search of a great working dog, look no further. Gus is without a doubt someoneโs once in a lifetime dog.
Jiggs is available in our upcoming online auction June 20-22. Mike Goracke bred, raised and trained Jiggs and heโs been on our place his entire life. Heโs been lightly trialed on both cattle and sheep and was a USBCHA national nursery qualifier on sheep. He has won and placed at both the nursery and open ranch level. Heโll hit a head some on cattle but is not a big biter and is suited more for cattle that have been dogged. Super out runner, clean flanked and steadys up nicely. Good shedding dog with a solid โlook backโ and is fairly easy to work. Hauls well, good in a kennel or crate, has been in the house but wouldnโt say he is totally house broke. He can be snarky with other alpha type males. Super people friendly but heโs not been around small children but I donโt believe thatโd be an issue. The only blemish he has is he is missing an inside toe on a front foot but has never taken a lame step. Iโll have a signed letter from my vet verifying the foot in question.
