Ginger goes home tomorrow, and so we went out to lunch together as a final eval. She did so well! Watched the server come by, watched people come and go into the restaurant, all while settled nicely by my feet, under the table. ❤️ She still has a little more work left with her reactivity, as well as task training, but those will be addressed with continued lessons with her owner.

Ginger is almost a week into her board and train, working on reactivity to dogs and general confidence building, and I'd say she's rocking it! The dog in the video, we get about 20 feet away with very little reaction! Didn't want to push it though, we kept a comfortable distance and got lots of treats. 🥰

Check out Ms. Ginger! She's here to work through a fear period, which is causing her to have big feelings towards dogs. This isn't acceptable for service dogs, as it can pose a danger to not only the public, but also her handler. So, this is our first night together. Learning how to work with each other, building a relationship, and her working with dogs in kennels in the back of the room. I'm confident we can start to get her emotions under control while she is with us! Let's go Ginger. :)

Alice went to Spirit Halloween for her end of board evaluation with Devon! She goes home this weekend, and I'd say she rocked this outing! Alice came to Devon almost 3 weeks ago to work on confidence building and public skills. The clown spooked her a little bit this time, but not 5 minutes after this video, she was walking through that house display with me, right past the clown!
Good job Alice! We have a long way to get you to Service Dog status, but you're on your way!

She was so well behaved on the walk to Dunkin, and her bravery with all the scary people and new environment was rewarded with a nice pup cup!
Board and train, Zen, working hard on some service dog foundations, with his trainer Devon! It looks like they're only working on recall and position changes, but Zen is learning much more than that here! He is learning body awareness, the concept of luring, how to work when the vest goes on, and how to ignore distractions, like the cats that are out of frame!
He is working on so much more while he stays with our trainer, and hopefully one day he will be able to help his owner live her day to day life!
