❓ What is the difference between a trainer and a behaviorist? ❓

While both require being able to understand dog speak, a behaviorist will address serious issues like aggression, anxiety, and resource guarding vs trainers that generally teach obedience and other important skills. Here are just SOME of the dogs we've had the pleasure to work with since spring! ❤ We know that we've neglected page updates, but as you can tell, we've been busy training and solving behavior issues. Our waiting list reached eight weeks in April, so we put all our efforts into working with these furbabies and their families.

Many of the dogs we've worked with have had significant behavioral issues from past history or simply the pandemic where dogs haven't been able to be socialized. We were able to translate what they were saying and address the issue(s) and keep some of them from being surrendered. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing a pawrent and their dog bond and understand each other. 🥰

We thank everyone for your support in sharing our posts and referring people our way! We especially thank everyone that has entrusted us with their furbabbies!!! Thanks again and take care!

As we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas, we wanted to share this so people can keep their furbabbies safe. Please be aware of the food they get ahold of, especially the little humans too young to understand. Please keep your dogs safe and have a wonderful holiday!

This is critical information to know when inviting a new dog into your home! Don't give up on them, they will adjust and at times need training and/or behavior modification. This article explains how dog trainers across the US are getting crushed with extreme cases, thanks to owners who saw pandemic pups as a loneliness fix but didn’t start with good training. Due to the pandemic, many dogs are not socialized properly and can cause aggression from fear or anxiety.

This is Maggie who had her second session today. ❤ She has significant anxiety that we are working on and has made great strides since our first session! Not only am I the only person she'll allow within a few feet, got her to do some commands like sit & down. Her brother Thor decided to join the party and showed her how it was done. 😂 Can't wait to work with her again next week!

Had one of the most amazing sessions today with Lilly and Sasha! Not long ago, Sasha would maybe spend 10 of 60 minutes of the session hiding or watching from a distance. Today we made a major breakthrough and she spent most of the session next to me! She recalled and sat many times and was a completely different dog. We've watched this beautiful dog go from hiding and refusing to even look at us, to being social and wanting to train! ❤

Meet Bear, a 1 year old rescued GSD! ❤ His family needed some help with this ball of love and reached out. We had our first session today and he did fabulous! Initially he was very fearful of his kennel, so we climbed in and he joined us. As you can tell from the pictures, he no longer has any fear, after a single session. We also worked on basic obedience and some leash training, all of which he aced with his high drive to please. As you can see, we wore him out - he was dead asleep before we left. Can't wait to work with him again next week! 😍

❤ JAX - ADOPTED ❤️

Jax came to us from Missouri, and right away found his perfect furever family in Ron and his daughter Bella! The very first night Jax was with Ron, he helped when Ron had a fall, immediately cementing his place in all our hearts!

Jax is an amazing dog and has found an amazing family to take him in! ❤

❤ LUNA - ADOPTED!!! ❤

As one of our first rescue dogs to enter the program, this is a bittersweet moment for us. Luna came to us from Washington with some major anxiety issues. We spent the first few weeks working on her anxiety and trained her to a level where its now manageable.

Luna now gets to run on a 100+ acre ranch with her furever family! Both established an immediate bond which resulted in her going to an amazing home with an amazing owner!

We are excited to see her adopted and hope to get progress reports to share! ❤

❤ SAWYER - ADOPTED!!! ❤

Sawyer came to us from Idaho and found his furever home right away in his foster! He has become a local favorite and gets to go shopping with his humans, pick out his own toys, and show himself off!

Sawyer has done so well with his new family! We are as happy as Sawyer to see him go to a loving home! ❤

We would like to welcome Sherman (aka Lobo) from Dallas, TX into the program! He is about 1.5 years old and ~100 pounds of pure love! ❤ He loves people, dogs and enjoys giving HUGE kisses straight from the water bowl. 😂 He will be with us awhile as we teach him some manners and address some possible physical issues. We look forward to working with Sherman the Tank and getting him ready for his furever home!

We welcome Holmes and Watson from Fayetteville, AR into the program! ❤ These gorgeous pups are pair-bonded and will need to be trained and adopted out together. They are very friendly and loving, but lack any training, and one is a major escape artist! We'll get them into training and teach them some manners in no time. :D

Stopped in to check on Tank and speak with his foster family. As you can see, Tank has claimed their nice fuzzy doormat as his bed! 😂

Tank is one of the best dogs we've had the pleasure of working with. He doesn't bark, obeys well, and just wants human affection - and giving BIG wet kisses! 😍

While much of our work is rehabilitation and training, we make sure the dogs get some pampering too! Here are before/after pictures of Jax, looks like a totally different dog now! The prior pictures were taken when delivered to us, the others were taken after grooming. ✂️

Jax was groomed by Karen's Grooming in Highland and we are very impressed with their work, he needed allot of attention! ❤

Today we welcomed Jax into the program! This lover is such a sweet boy! Jax comes to us from Missouri with very little training but a huge heart. He loves attention and gives an insane amount of kisses! ❤ We got him acquainted with his foster, which is a match made in heaven. Jax took to him and his daughter right away and has the real possibility of becoming a service dog. We are so excited to have him and look forward to working with him in the coming weeks ahead! 😍

Everyone please welcome Sawyer to the family! He 2.5 years old and has some anxiety to work through. After being warned of aggression, we saw none and he was friendly with a handful of people in a controlled environment. We feel he'll be great as we work on his anxiety and confidence, along with refining his training! 😍

Please welcome Buddy to our program! ❤ This handsome boy is 3.5 years old and hasn't had a great start. He was run over by his owner who had the needed surgery, but never had any physical therapy so now he has a permanent limp. He is a good boy, he just wants to be loved! We are looking forward to working on rehabbing his leg and training him for the perfect furever home!

Here are some updated pictures of Blair Bear (now Foxy). Her foster brought her to the dog park so she could meet Buddy who had just arrived in AR. She did great and was even the first to begin the crazy zoomies with Buddy. Things went so well that Buddy went home with Foxy! 🥰

WOW, that is about all we can say about Tank! ❤ He is such a loving and good dog for having such a rough life so far! We ran through all basic obedience and he aced it! He has NO dog reactivity, even when Parker was talking smack. Today he really warmed up and was giving the "Shepherd hug" and lots of kisses! We are in love with him already, he is going to such a good furbaby once we round out his training and build his confidence! 😍

We had a much improved session with Parker today! We switched things up allot today by letting him work with a new handler, while having the distraction of Tank being around. He was very reactive to Tank but did great with Janie as a handler! After some corrections, we made a breakthrough and he was no longer reacting to Tank. Janie worked with Parker on basic obedience and he did great!!! 😁

Ollie had blast today with Luna! This cute bundle of raw energy did much better today. He is still jumping, but he is beginning to understand that humans aren't bowling pins to knock over! 😂 We worked on basic obedience and he did great. He is such a sweet dog, but his energy is getting the best of him.

Luna had a great day today! She got to work with a new handler and did great once she got to know Janie. We are SO impressed how much better she is with her anxiety! She is no longer constantly anxious and is no longer reacting to other dogs. In fact, she was even flirting with Ollie today! ❤

Ivan (aka Meathead) is such a stud! Worked with him today and he did great! Got to enjoy some nice weather and got to train him for quite awhile. He has such a unique personality. Literally nothing bothers him, he acts just happy to be alive! ❤

Please welcome Tank into our program! ❤ He comes to us with some confidence issues after being bullied by another dog he was living with. He is super friendly and loving, we look forward to working with him so that he can find his furever home!

Got Luna, Ollie and Parker out today for some work. Unfortunately the phone battery died as we were working with Luna, so we weren't able to get any other pictures. Luna did great today, we worked on recall, sit, down, stay and extended stay with distractions. As you can see, she would like to model and sponsor the water company! 😂 Ollie also did well, he is picking up on the basics real well. Parker was very anxious so we worked on bonding and resource guarding.
