Update: the cat’s name is Arly. Her owner was paying a coworker and friend $50 per month to care for her two cats while the family was displaced since June. Arly was put outside a couple months ago because she reportedly peed outside the box. Arly is front declawed and has never been outside. The second cat reportedly passed away a week ago. These are the facts that we were able to gather. We are in contact with the owner. Arly is distraught, but she will be reunited with her family soon.

When a cat or dog is found, keep in mind that its story may be as crazy as Arly’s story and the animal might have an owner.

This poor cat was abandoned outside. She is thin, scared, and her beautiful fur is full of leaves and twigs. She was living under a barbecue grill. Why animals continue to trust people after they have been mistreated is simply amazing. She will be spayed and in need of an inside home.

Bunny Update! Almost 2 years ago Bunny was found in the middle of the highway with a broken leg, a smashed paw, and severe frostbite. She lost half her tail, both ears, and half of a back paw. Today she lives a normal, pain free life!

Update: Benny was sedated to clean wound, biopsy tissue from the wound, vaccinate, deworm, fleas and finally neuter this boy! Dr. believes this is an allergy issue, either food or environmental. He will most likely need medication for life which his caretaker is willing to do. Thank you for the donations to cover his vet bill!

This is Benny. He found his way to a Blair resident’s property after his home was destroyed by the tornado and his previous owner left him to fend for himself. He has had these wounds for over a year that are aggravated by scratching. We were contacted by the neighbor after the local Blair shelter declined to help Benny. In good conscience we couldn’t refuse. Arlington Pet Hospital will examine and recommend a course of treatment. We have no idea what has caused open wounds for over a year or what medical expenses will be incurred. Please help us help Benny. He is a sweet boy, approximately 6 years old that would really like to be back in a house. All donations are greatly appreciated.

When a single kitten is raised by itself, it doesn’t learn essential social skills necessary to be a good pet. We had to seek out another litter of kittens in need, approximately the same age so the little lone survivor (black kitten) could get the companionship she needs from siblings. It wasn’t hard to do. Nebraska has a cat/kitten pandemic. There are numerous kittens in need. Fortunately for these 6 babies they will get the help they need. How do we stop this pandemic? Spay and neuter is the answer. We will never rescue our way out. Petition Nebraska Humane Society to reopen their low cost spay and neuter clinic. This little baby girl was found in a window well in Omaha along with her 6 siblings. Three were deceased. Three more have since passed. She is the lone survivor. The good news is that she is doing great! At only four weeks old she is hissing and spitting, letting us know who is boss! Thank you to everyone who has donated for her care. We are greatful for all the kindness shown to this innocent little kitten. Updates to follow!

These two, not so tame kittens, are in need of a farm home that can keep them safe. They are 3 months old spayed, neutered and vaccinated.

Gorgeous Tortie named Emri in need of a forever home! She is loving, affectionate and loves pets. She gets along with other cats but not fond of dogs. Older children only as she prefers a quieter home. 3-4 years old. She comes spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped! Please share and help this girl find her forever home!
