🐾 Bladder stones can be the cause of frequent, bloody urine in cats and dogs. There are many causes of straining to urinate (stranguria) and frequent urination (pollakiuria), so it is important to do screening tests. Make sure your vet obtains a sterile urine sample and performs a urine culture to screen for urinary tract infections. If signs persist - X-rays/imaging are important tools to look for stones!
😸These small urinary bladder stones were removed from this cat 🐈 via surgery. A cystotomy is surgery of the bladder to remove these stones!
