Have you ever wondered what’s going on in your dog’s mind 🤔?? I know I have! And although we may never know for sure, one emotion that’s easily recognizable in a dog is jealousy. Yes, our pups can feel jealous too and their feelings can manifest themselves through certain behaviors!
Bocce 🐶 here is ten years old and was having a hard time adjusting to his new puppy sibling! We implemented some gentle corrections for Bocce, while making sure to validate his feelings and provide him with the extra love and support he needed to not feel replaced by his new fur sibling! Happy Friday everyone 🤩!! I was training in Shirley with this beautiful one year old Rottweiler named Mason 🐶 and his owner. Rottweilers are powerful dogs with incredible strength, intelligence and a working drive, which means they need consistent mental and physical stimulation, as well as a strong and committed pack leader. I worked with Masons owner to establish herself as a strong pack leader through clear and consistent communication with Mason. We implemented the clicker which enforces the wanted actions and behaviors at the exact moment they are wanted and performed, and with Rottweilers like Mason who are eager to please, the clicker can be an exceptionally beneficial tool 👍.
