UPDATE! Phillip found his forever home! A great family who also happen to be longtime friends of ours welcomed Phillip into their home. Thank you Kristen, Scott and Ace, I can see how much you love him already.
Also a huge thank you to The Karen's (Melanie and Chantel), and everyone else involved with your amazing organization. Thank you for rescuing this little guy, working your magic, and getting the wheels turning to help him get better and giving him a second chance at life! Also thanks to the great and very caring team at Hamburg Countryside VCA for taking excellent care of Phillip with all of his medical needs (and all of the extra love on his clinic days)! Go on Phillip, it's time to live your best life!!

Hello! My name is Phillip. Let's just say I didn't have the greatest start to life. I had Demodex (that's a mite) and it makes you itchy, scratchy and I lost most of my fur. I also didn't get enough to eat and just wasn't taken care of how a sweet baby should be. I now have most of my fur back and am growing like I should! With all of those bad days behind me I am ready to start my new life! I want to give the biggest thank you to a group of great people who call themselves The Karen's! They found me and brought me to my foster family and are helping me get better! Now I'm ready to start looking for my new home. So if yours has an opening, I'd love to fill it! I'm super sweet and I love to cuddle, I am crate trained and I am working on potty training. We think I'm about 4 months old. Next week I will be getting the rest of my vaccinations and getting neutered. Pictures above are from the first day with my foster family and then today.

Update! Rosie has found her forever home! She didn't have to go far.. surprise it's us! She is officially a Palarchio, welcome to our family sweet girl! First ice cream puppy party last night.

I just can't believe Rosie hasn't found her people and her forever home. She is hoping this might be her lucky month! She is sweet, cuddly, and good with everyone and everything she has encountered. Not a mean bone in her body (not even the ones she has broken)! She is a rescue with The Karen's and will be placed thru Livingston County Animal Shelter. PERFECT PUP!

I hope this post finds everyone doing well and recovered from the holidays. I need all my animal lovers help, I need to find the perfect home for my current foster Rosie, and I mean "help" because if she stays here too much longer she could become a permanent resident and then we will be "foster failures" again! We assume she is 2-3 years old and she has been with us for the past 5 months. Her name is Rosie, and she has had a rougher life in the beginning. She was surrendered to an outreach group The Karen's who do so many amazing things to help animals any way that they can! When they found her she was in bad shape with an "unexplained" shattered right shoulder, that "owner" surrendered her. Unfortunately she was left untreated for too long so it had to heal on its own with lots of rest and loving care. (She did great with the loving care but not so much on the rest)! She currently is doing awesome, her past life and injury has never really kept her down! She is very outgoing, playful, and loves other dogs, kitties and kids. She loves her food and of course treats, belly rubs and really any attention. She is potty trained, crate trained, recently spayed, and tested negative for heartworm. Please help us find her a forever home that she deserves.. now go give all your fur babies hugs and kisses and see if they are looking for a new sister. Please help Rosie by sharing this post.

Good morning!
Fingers crossed that spring is right around the corner, camping trips, vacations, and weekends away are sure to follow! WHEN I AM OLD 🐕❤️

When I am old...
I will wear soft gray sweatshirts...
and a bandana over my silver hair...
and I will spend my social security checks on my dogs.

I will sit in my house on my well-worn chair
and listen to my dogs breathing.
I will sneak out in the middle of a warm summer night
and take my dogs for a run, if my old bones will allow...

When people come to call, I will smile and nod
as I show them my dogs...
and talk of them and about them...
...the ones so beloved of the past
and the ones so beloved of today...

I will still work hard cleaning after them,
mopping and feeding them and whispering their names
in a soft loving way.
I will wear the gleaming sweat on my throat,
like a jewel, and I will be an embarrassment to all...

who have not yet found the peace in being free

Well believe it or not it's spring. Flowers are blooming and it's still snowing. But either way we still need to plan our camping trips and summer vacation. Merry Christmas and thank you to all the new clients, furry faces and everyone else that we crossed paths with this last year! We are looking forward to seeing everyone even more next year! We again will be collecting donations (food, toys, treats and any other supplies) to deliver to rescues in the greatest need. Please reach out for drop off information or let us know if you need us to pick items up. We were also recently contacted by Animal Adoption Network (who were the recipient of the donation last year) and asked if we would be interested in making more of the Blue Barrel Houses for another organization that they work with. Last but certainly not least we would like to introduce "Mikey"! This little guy came to us from the west side of Michigan after he was brought into a clinic to be be euthanized because of some bad trauma that happened to one of his front legs. Thankfully a good friend worked there and convinced the breeder to surrender "Mikey" as opposed to putting him down. So that is where our most recent "furry friend in need" came from. He has been with us for about 5 weeks, lots of wound treatments and bandage changes and so far we are still hoping to heal his wounds and help him keep his leg. Thank you so much to all friends and coworkers that have helped us get him this far! It will still be some time before he is ready to go to his "Forever Home" but we need your help to get the word out that "Mikey is looking" we would like to start the process and help him find a great home that will love him unconditionally whether he has 3 legs or keeps all 4. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and great New Year!🤗

UPDATE ON CHRISTMAS DONATION!

We are so happy to say that there are pups that didn't have shelter and food that are sleeping a little better now. The donation went awesome we ended up with 750lbs of food, boxes of treats, toys, 3 inside crates, 6 beds, bags full of blankets, boxes full of flea and tick medication, cases of canned food and 34 bales of straw. This was a direct result to all of you who stepped up and helped anyway that you could. Thank you all so much!

We found a awesome organization! Michigan Animal Adoption Network/ Animal Care Network they are a non profit organization that had been doing so many great things since 1994! With their biggest task being to feed and provide shelter to the needy animals of the Metro Detroit area. They go around daily providing food, water, treats and shelter to any animal that needs it. Also happy to say 16 more pups will have shelter thanks to my husband and good friend Steve for helping build the houses. Thank you again to everyone who helped us help a cause very close to our hearts!

Woke up to a beautiful snow covered morning. Couldn't have asked for a better day to play with our pups in the snow. Winston, Cece, and H***h, going to be a sleepy night for them. Love these guys, and their up for anything attitude.
