We are excited to have one of our Himalayans travel to the great state of Texas to show there. Congrats to Pearl and her sweet doe, Hot Dog. Yes that is her name. Riley chose it and Pearl kept it.😁❤️ We wish you much fun and hope you do great things together!

We have a repeat customer who bought 3 more of our Himalayans. Two of our babies- a doe and a buck, and a Sr. Buck who has qualified for grand champion status with ARBA. They are looking to expand the rabbit project within their 4-h club and specifically in this breed. It’s great to help get the younger ones started building their own successful Rabbitry. We can’t wait to see you showing them Bowden and other youth involved! Thank you for loving them so well Bowden. ❤️ Enjoy Tiny, Houdini, and Max. ❤️

Congratulations to Elizabeth Colwell and her great Czech Frosty Buck, Rainy Day's Body Czech. Best of Breed at Wisconsin State Fair in Youth and Reserve Best In Show at Same Show! They were also Best of Breed and Reserve in Show at Lodi Agricultural Fair Show as well. He looks fabulous! Great job! We are so proud.

Our babies are beginning to go to new homes. Wheaty was the first to leave and join her new friend Mahoney. They will be showing in 4-H together. Right now Wheaty is settling in and living her best life. ❤️ Congrats and enjoy her! She’s a beauty!

We are going to Columbia County Fair shortly. Already had good news from the Bunny Show. Riley Landsverk didn't show this year, but our Dwarf Hotots were represented. Snowball was out of our good homegrown doe, Rainy Day's Rico and out of a good homegrown buck, Rainy Day's Ice Tea! Way to go Ellie and Snowball! Best of Breed! We are so proud!

We have several show quality junior Himalayans available for sale. They are all the lilac variety. They are still shedding off their baby coat and some frosting but the lilac coloring is vibrant. They should look great for the fall ARBA shows. We will have some for sale at the Plymouth show next Sunday. Or message us to set up another appointment. First come, first serve. Mama has qualified for Grand Champion status with ARBA. We have 3 does and 2 bucks. This is a very fun breed. Great personalities.

Very good day at the Galesville Rabbit Show yesterday. Rose Arbor's Big Czech continued his winning ways with two Best of Breed wins. We had more competition, and it was great to have other breeders there. Thanks to the Friendly Rabbit Club for a well-run show with informative, friendly judges. The Mini Lops fared okay, but no big wins for them yesterday. Can't wait to get the young ones old enough to get them out. The trip home was eventful as the rains were horrendous at times. It was coming down so hard, I got soaked just getting out of the car. The buns were not impressed at all by the dash indoors! Carpet Squares came in very handy! Hope everyone is having a fun day today at the show. Didn't get pics yet so will post Big Czech without his new awards :). I'm so pleased with him. I just love this guy. He has been undefeated since the National Show. Way to go buddy! He is a very fun rabbit to show as he lets everyone see his fun personality too. I want to thank the judges for all their comments on him. Big Czech and a Blanc De Hotot were mentioned in Best in Show judging as excellent examples of the rare breeds. I love that the Frostys are being seriously looked at now for Best in Show!

Rose Arbor's Big Czech won Best of Breed at Saturday's Northwoods Rabbit Club Show A under Judge Bruce Ormsby who said Big Czech was the finest Czech Frosty he has seen! Woo-hoo! Thank you, Mr. Ormsby! Big Czech was also Best of Breed for Show B under Judge Erik Bengston who also said he really liked him. Way to go Big Czech. Thanks to the show committee for a show very well run, the judges for doing their jobs and explaining their placings so well. The show committee even had a photo booth set up with a professional photographer who took photos for free! How wonderful! Overall, a really great show to attend. Can't wait for their next one. We even have our show reports already! Not sure how they can be better!

Poor mama. ❤️ She’s under there somewhere. What a good mom. These playful babies are 6 weeks old now. We’re pretty we have 2 bucks and 3 does. They will be beautiful as they shed out this baby coat. 😊 They are adorable now. Let us know if you’re looking for some excellent show quality Himalayans. Not quite ready but getting closer. They are so much fun.

Dwarf Hotot Cinco had 5 babies last night. First time mama and she is doing great. All five are doing well. One sport so that will be a pet bunny down the road for someone! By our good buck Smokey!

Had a fun day at the Happy Hoppers Rabbit Show yesterday. Didn't have many rabbits to take as most of the does are raising babies, pregnant or too young. Took just 3 Mini Lops and 3 Czech Frostys. Seemed very weird to only have that many. Some surprises with the Mini Lops. The ones I thought would do really well were upper mid pack, but no winners. The one I wasn't sure of, our Junior buck, won both his Solid Jr. Buck classes out of 7 and then in Show A went on to be Best Opposite of Group and Best Opposite of Breed. Way to go Rainy Day's Hawkeye! Mary Martinez won her Sr. broken doe class with Rainy Day's Daisy and went on to be Best Opposite Group. Congratulations Mary! No competition for the Czech Frostys but I was interested to hear comments on my boys. Two Senior bucks and one junior buck. Rose Arbor's Big Czech had a good day. Great overall comments and each judge reaffirmed why I brought him into our herd. He was Best of Breed in both shows. Our junior buck owned by our granddaughter, Aubrey Schroud, got very good comments too. He is growing nicely. We laughed a lot during the Best in Show presentations as Big Czech did not disappoint. He is so much like his father, Rose Arbor's Mark! He entertained most of the time. Looking around, turning around and looking at me like 'what are they doing?' He also got Registered today and filled out the paperwork for his ARBA Grand Championship along with our good Mini Lop Buck, B's Macchiato. Thanks to the Happy Hoppers Rabbit Club for a well run show and friendly people. Makes the day so much fun!

The pregnant does have come through the storms last night okay. Just had 5 Czech Frosty babies born this past hour to Rose Arbor's Susans Girl! All look healthy and she is much more attentive than she was with her first litter. Hopefully her milk comes in this time too. Watching her closely. Have Suntica yet to have her babies. She is due today, but not interested yet. I also have Mimosa, an orange Mini Lop with a huge nest. She is not due until Sunday so like most of the Mini Lops she is just preparing early. First time for her so very pleased it's all in the nest box. Thankful for the babies just born and praying for the other two to have theirs with no additional fanfare like immense storms and no power for nearly 12 hours!

Congratulations Evan and little Rainy Day's Coconut. They recently won Best In Show at a Youth Show in Texas! So happy for them. We love getting the updates on our good rabbits that we have put into new loving hands.

Another Update from the National Czech Frosty Show. Our granddaughter, Aubrey couldn't be there with us so I'm putting in her photo from the last show she was at with Rainy Day's Czech Mate. We took Czech Mate and he was 2nd in the Junior Bucks at this year's Czech Frosty National Show! WooHoo Czech Mate and Congratulations to Aubrey for picking a good bunny for her first bun! Mary and I decided to drive straight through yesterday from Alexandria, Louisiana to Rio, WI. We got home about 2:30 this morning. Glad to be home. We had a lot of fun. It was an interesting week thanks to ALL our Czech Frostys deciding to be in varying forms of molting from slight to full blown!! (No pun intended). We were fortunate to get a few 2nd places and a 3rd place even with less than stellar coats. Mary won the Sr. Broken Doe class in Open Mini Lops and was BOSV in one show. Congratulations Mary Martinez! Our huge win for the weekend was the fact that I was looking for a new Czech Frosty buck with specific bits and pieces I wanted. I looked at a couple and they didn't have what I was looking for. I then looked at Big Czech and even before Dori had him on the table, I was captivated by him. He is a son of Mark who won the first National Show last year. Big Czech 'czeched off' all the points I was looking for. We made the deal and the shows began. He did a lot of winning over the weekend. The Big win is that he was BOB for the National Show on Saturday. Way to go 'Mr. Big'. He is now home in Wisconsin and you all will be seeing him on the show tables this summer and fall. Thank you Rose Arbor Rabbitry - Dori Smith for allowing me to add this guy to Rainy Day Rabbitry. He is settling in nicely. Thanks to the Show Committee for well run shows and to all the judges. Knowledgeable and friendly. The Czech Frosty folks had a great time and really supported each other. Can't wait to do it all over again.

Next our super doe Rainy Day's Midnight Gold who took 2nd out of 83 at last fall's ARBA National Convention had 8 babies. All solids. Looks like a combination of black steel like she is and chestnuts. Also by Macchiato. Photos to come. Have a couple runts so we will see how it all goes, but she is an excellent mother.

We are having a Mini Lop explosion around here. Double Stuff, our REW had five babies this week which is good considering she is over 4 years old. She is loving on them. Looks like 3 solid chestnuts and two brokens who may be black, but time will tell. They are the first babies from our good buck 3B's Macchiato.

We had a great day at Mini Lop National Show yesterday. Huge classes and really great rabbits. Let me start by saying a big thank you to Rabbit Renegades Club for running a really good show. And thanks to the judges too. They had to work really hard to pick the overall winners. Our good doe 3Bs Bambino won a very tough 57 rabbit Senior Solid Doe Class and was also named Best Opposite of Variety! Way to go Bambi. Our Solid Senior Buck, 3B's Macchiato came in 2nd to the eventual overall winner of Best of Breed in his class of 55 Senior Bucks! Way to go Macchiato! Even our very young Solid Junior Buck, Rainy Day's Hawkeye placed in the top 15 against some older and more mature junior bucks. Way to start Hawkeye! Mary Martinez had a senior doe in the top half of the class too! Congratulations Mary!
Our Czech Frostys did us proud as well in the All-Breed Shows. We showed in 3 shows and Rose Arbor's Suntica was Best of Breed in all three shows With Rose Arbor's Secretariat being Best Opposite of Breed. Rainy Day's Pay Czech was Best Opposite of Breed once and Rainy Day's Czech Mate was Best Opposite in another show. Great Show, great people and lots of fun! We sold two young Mini Lops who are going to Florida. Congratulations to them for a good start. And a Czech Frosty Junior Doe also has a new home back in Wisconsin. Come on out and show with us!
We also brought home two new Mini Lop does. Now getting ready to go to Louisiana in a couple weeks for the Czech Frosty National Show and the Dwarf Hotot National Show.

Himi Babies!
Our one week old Himalayan babies! Great show lines. We’re excited to see them grow! 😊
We are excited about these two cuties. They are 5 weeks and we’re raising them up to show at the Himalayan national show the end of March. The gray will eventually shed off as they lose their baby coats. ❤️ We believe we have one black pointed and one might be a blue point. We’ll see! 😁
Bunny fun! This boy, Bruno, carries this plastic water bottle around dragging it on the cage when he wants to get our attention. 😂 As soon as we talk to any other bunnies he picks it up again. Pretty smart. 😊 We love our bunnies.
A few cuties from our other litter. These are now over a month old. One more month and several of these babies will be available for new homes. ❤️

We are excited to share we have new Mini Lop babies! They are growing cuter by the day. There are 2 different litters- one is just 2 weeks today and beginning to escape the nest box. The other is closer to 3 weeks old. Several of these cuties will be ready for new homes in about 6 weeks. Here is a first glimpse at our second litter. Nearly 3 weeks old. Lots of blue and gray! We’ll see how they grow. Out of a solid blue doe and broken blue buck. So cute!
Bunny pile up! 😊 We have two litters of adorable Mini Lop babies! 😁 These cuties are almost 3 weeks old. So in about 5 weeks we’ll have some for sale. Some are out of the nest box for the first time here. ❤️ It’s about to get a whole lot more active for this mama.

Rainy Day Rabbitry
Hi, my name is Riley. I started showing rabbits when I was 8 years old in 4-H. My interest grew and we expanded into breeding and showing at the breed show level. I chose the name Rainy Day Rabbitry because of the saying, “saving up for a rainy day.” Buying rabbits is my kind of “rainy day” purchase that is really fun for me. It is my hope that our rabbits will give you the same “rainy day” joy when you bring one home!
My family and I raise quality show rabbits and specialize in the Mini Lop and Dwarf Hotot breeds. Our rabbits show competitively in ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) and also at the 4-H level.
