This is what Hourly Pet Sitting is all about.

I’m often asked what exactly this type of Pet Sitting is, and there are a few variations.

In some situations, like yesterday, an owner may have an event, appointment, etc, where leaving their dog at home & a Drop-In Visit isn’t the best option.

Yesterday, an owner & I arranged to meet in a well shaded public space, where Gus & I spent about 2 hours together.

The owner brought everything Gus would need on such a warm day. A bowl with plenty of water, treats, & his prefilled/frozen Kong.

Happy Gotcha’ Day Boz. Thank you for being one half of the Ying to my Yang. Established September 11th, 2021

This is Miss Charlotte. I have been focusing on gently encouraging her to move outside of her comfort zone. Specifically, being less reactive to loud noises. Trying to figure out what things motivate her & how I can strengthen her trust in me. Here we are very close to this moving freight train*. The noise has often stopped her in her tracks, long before we could see one, or she’d lunge in the other direction (spooked) to get away. Here she’s actually walking towards it. This type of adjustment has taken a long time. This is my personal dog & we walk 6 days a week, so saturation, structure, consistency & exposure has been key. Will she has set backs with loud noises? Of course, but onward we move. * note we are within the allowed walking zone of the City of Caldwell, the State of Idaho & the Federal laws of the RR. And yes, I’m very confident if I wasn’t attached to the other end of the leash, she’d never go this close to the train on her own. 🚂🐾🦮🐾

Your dog, My bliss

I am solo in this endeavor, but not alone. You all are a big part of this adventure and helping your betrothed is a special honor and opportunity to fulfill my love of animals. I offer a variety of services for your pets....from Dog Walks (my absolute favorite), drop in visits, transportation to appointments and when possible, dog sitting. I work with cats too, and since I don’t have a cat...except a vagabond 1 of 3 jet black cats that hang out around my place. One I call Nimo~ the others, Darrell & Darrell - since I can’t tell them apart, that fulfills a need all on its own. Need a service, or price quote? Let me know.
