Jasmine may have been one of our easier monkeys. Jasmine has a Vervet father and a Grivet mother. These monks are in the same family and can interbreed. She is very calm and loving. She was one the best eaters we have ever had (some babies don't take the bottle very well). Best of all, she is very sweet, loves her Daddy, and has one of the most even temperaments of any monkey we have ever raised. This beautiful little girl likes to chew fingers, suck her thumb, and play with toys! She never cries when it is time for bed and doesn't tear things. She loves to play, give kisses, and snuggle up for a quick nap. She's a bona-fide cutie!

Daughter of Rusty and Ginger, little Hannah is a Cinnamon Capuchin who is exceptionally sweet and downright amazing for a baby monkey. She is very self-assured in that she is happy by herself and shows no separation anxieties

Some people wonder why humans are so different while animals are so similar. These people don't babysit monkeys. Over the years we thought we had some pretty good ideas about monkey personalities. Then comes little Patrick Daniel. Patrick is a Capuchin monkey who doesn't quite fit the profile. Usually Capuchin's grow up slower than other breeds, like to stick close to home, and tend to be a bit laid back. Not little Patrick. He plays by himself very well, but he loves company. Usually inquisitive monkeys are very intense, but Patrick studies everything but somehow doesn't end up fixation. He is a great eater (another common problem) and hasn't fussed over a single person.

Like most monks, Rudy was a tremendous amount of work and bonded very closely to Bobbie. He turned into a good swimmer. He bathed with Bobbie in the tub every morning! Many monkeys dislike water, but not in the Elam house. We teach them early that nappies (diapers) and baths are good things! Rudy went on to become one of our better underwater swimmers; having to be made to get out of the tub.
