I think the most important part of a client greeting is to make them feel welcome.
With so many different types of appointments coming in, it’s important that you adjust your greeting accordingly.
Look ahead to see who is scheduled to come in next to help you prepare.
And the check in process is a whole other story! Once you’ve greeted your client you’ll need to do a handful of things to properly check them in for their visit. We’ll cover that next!

It’s no secret that finding a job candidate that fits your needs and accepts the position is more difficult than ever. When you DO hire a new team member, it’s in your best interest to ensure they feel comfortable and excited to be a part of the team.
What does your practice do to make new employees feel good about working with your team?

What does your practice do to welcome new clients? Many of us have a welcome packet or may send a card in the mail, but are we doing enough to make them a loyal fan?!
We’re always looking to generate positive reviews online. Why not incorporate asking new clients to rate your practice right after they’ve had a welcoming first visit?
Think about your life experiences and take note of the times you were made to feel welcome at a place of business. What is as it about the experience that made you feel welcome? Maybe it’s something your practice can do to level up your current new client experience.

A friendly reminder of how important pet parents are to our industry.
“A customer is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is a part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. He is doing us an opportunity to do so.” - Mahatma Gandhi

Do you often hear complaints about the cost of preventative products? Make it a habit to reply with empathy and put the cost of prevention into perspective.
Less than $1 a day to protect my pet from fleas and ticks sounds like a steal.
Do you know the average cost per day for your preventative care products?

Are you seeing an increase in the number of client “no-shows?” If so, you’re not the only one!
This is becoming a major issue in the veterinary industry, requiring us to make policy changes such as asking new clients or repeat offenders to leave a deposit.
If you’re team is hesitant to ask for a deposit or worried about the reaction they might get, send me a DM for more information on how to help your team with this.
