Grade 5yo appy quarter cross gelding. Stout but not too tall. Stands for farrier, loads, utd on shots/wormer. Meet you at the gate kinda guy. Easy to catch. Spent 30 days with me on a “restart/refresher”. Would be best suited for an experienced rider. No bucking, kicking or biting he just needs a boss and a job. Has been trail rode and worked in an arena. He’ll make someone a nice horse. Owner recently had a stroke and is looking for something bomb proof for when she starts riding again. 2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ or trade on a dead broke horse. Message me with any questions.

I’ve been told I’m just a c**t starter. I’m actually proud of that. I am learning more and more about advancing horses but I have a soft spot for the young horses. There’s no big crowds and bright lights. Most of the time it’s just me and the horse. There’s a risk that other horses don’t have and that’s the “first”. The first haltering, the first saddling, the first ride……Many try but few understand the unstarted horse. There are those out there that look down on the c**t starters but a good c**t starter makes the trainers’ job easier. They may not get the credit but they know in their heart they did their part in the making of great horses (and to the true c**t starter that’s enough). The true c**t starters know that the “firsts” are the most important part of a horse’s training and it’s not just something that needs done as fast as we can. I’m also quite capable of making a finished horse but through the c**ts I’ve learned it takes time and a foundation is required. If I was in this for the money and fame I obviously wouldn’t have started c**ts for over 40 years. To me it’s for the love of the horse. I’m grateful the good Lord gave me the gift to handle the young horses. Yeah I may be considered just a c**t starter but I’m ok with that!
