We’d like to give a huge happy birthday shoutout to the OG of Opps, the Sultan of Scheduling, the Colossus of Communication, our dude Skyler! Skyler does so much for us. He pretty much has set up all of our internal systems, makes sure all of our routes are scheduled and in order, and still does an outstanding job as a driver taking on the entire west side of the country. He works incredibly hard and is just the man. Happy Birthday Brotha!

Happy Mother’s Day to the most beautiful lady! Our service wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for mom’s love and passion that she has for her animals. Since I was a kid, we have always had puppies in our kitchen and kitties in her office. Any person could love on the furbabies as they walked past the puppy cage or the office door and all were encouraged to. We’d take the pups out one by one to the puppy yard to go potty Lord knows how many times a day! Mom would say “hey, everybody grab a puppy and love on it” whenever we’d watch tv in our living room. So we would all have puppies on our chest, petting their heads as we watched American Idol, Grey’s Anatomy, Shark Tank, or whatever show was on growing up! She was the one that showed us what it means to truly give your all for your fur babies. She does so for her actual babies and grand babies too. I couldn’t be more proud to have this woman as my momma. She truly is the best. Everybody wish her a happy Mother’s Day!

After trying out nearly every vehicle imaginable, we think we finally got it right moving forward! You can now catch us in our new Toyota Sienna 😎 (my younger self would never believe I’d be this hyped for a minivan LOL).

We’ve tried the big sprinter van. Although it looks nice, it was so expensive to run and broke down on us on a few different occasions and the AC went out more than once too. We would also need to have roughly 10-13 passengers aboard at a time in order to sustain our business. That’s just too many at once.
We’ve tried Dodge caravans. They honestly worked great but just couldn’t handle the amount of miles we put on them.
But this Sienna, ITS GOT IT ALL BABY! Super cold AC with rear climate control, a CVT transmission that should never give us any issues, switches to battery when we are stopped (so sleeping at night with our passengers doesn’t put any wear and tear on our vehicle by keeping it running), and has room for 6 crates, which is the perfect amount of passengers that should be on board and still keep our service fantastic! You may still catch us in our hatchback Prius if we have a really small trip or a private transport scheduled, but Siennas should be our main vehicles moving forward!

We had some big puppies aboard on this trip! Two Mastiffs from our friends at Lone Star Mastiffs and a Great Pyrenees from Wells' Providence Pyrenees. We love the big pups!

With the weather getting hotter and these guys being too big to flight nanny, our ground transport service is really the best way to get them to their new homes. If you got a doggo that needs transport hit us up! We’d love to show you our service ☺️

Starting today, we'll be implementing an increase to our pricing structure (new pricing pictured below). This change reflects our ongoing commitment to providing top-notch service and ensuring the safety and comfort of your beloved pets during their travels.
We have not increased our prices for 3 years and are only doing so to adjust for the increase in all of our expenses across the board since 2021. We have cut every cost that we can, but this is a necessary step for us to take in order to make sure we still can provide our services moving forward. Our preferred partners will still get access to our best pricing, but there is an increase to that price sheet as well.

Rest assured, this adjustment allows us to continue offering the same level of exceptional care and attention that you've come to expect from Delifurry Pet Transport. Our team remains dedicated to providing stress-free and reliable transportation for your furry companions, whether it's a day trip or a long journey.

You know, of all the animals I have transported, the worst on the road is without a doubt my very own cat Shawty. Shawty is short little munchkin cat with the biggest personality I have ever seen, of any animal, of all time. She will talk to you at will with the sassiest meow any and every time you ask her something, sit in your hand (at one point she was poppin on TikTok for this), and give the best cuddles ever!
But that big personality shows up while travelling in the worst way... She absolutely despises it. She will scream bloody murder the whole time and her stomach gets super upset. Maybe it is because I always let her get on my shoulder instead of in a kennel earlier on in her life? I don't know. But I have never had a more challenging animal than my sweet Shawty on the road. That's why she's never been on a Delifurry Trip 😞
This makes me so sad though. She would be the ultimate van kitty with her personality if she liked travel! She greets everybody she meet, walk on a leash, and would be the star of the show! She has never met a stranger and is just a special animal.
She's been with me for 7 years and is the first pet I've ever owned. She went to college with me and will always be my heart kitty! I just wish she liked to travel some more so you guys could be blessed with her presence!

Want your pup or fur family to have a VIP experience? Consider our private transport service! This is a great option for movers who have tight windows for pickup and drop off or those with many fur family members and want to rent out a full van of ours! With this service, your pet(s) will go straight from point a to point b. There will be no other stops for pickups or drop offs and the route is direct with no deviation. The only stops that are made will be for potty and exercise breaks and sleep stops for us driving. One of our most fun pickups would have to be from Allison Family Doodles in Chattanooga TN! Picking up from Chatherine and her crew is always a pleasure. She puts a ton of effort into her goldendoodles and it shows. Below is an excerpt of her and her familie’s story from their website:

Hi, We're the Allisons. We are a small in-home breeder located in Chattanooga, Tennessee! My husband, Chris and I have been married for 10 years. In 2019 I was on a down spiral after trying to conceive for several years, and literally tearing myself down as a woman that I couldn't give my husband a child, I screamed, cried, and prayed. The one thing a woman can do, I couldn't. I was in a horrible mental space and I needed to step back and reevaluate my life. I did extensive research on different breeds and specifically an emotional support, I stumbled across "Goldendoodles". I found Brittany, an amazing Goldendoodle breeder with extensive background for SA/ESA with her puppies and program. After several conversations and back and forth, I decided to join her waitlist. In 2019, we brought home Cooper, my foundation male to our program. When I tell you 2019 was the best year of my life, I'm not exaggerating, he was everything I ever dreamed of, so attentive the emotional connection was almost immediate. Of course my husband loved him because he made me happy, but Cooper literally SAVED MY LIFE! He is my child, he showed me and taught me how to be a mother, maybe not the normal mother you would consider but the only mother I was capable of being and after him I was okay with that, it was a love I've never known. Of course him being as amazing as he was you know I had to add another, several months later we found another amazing breeder Christie and we brought Cora home into the family. I did my research day in and day night, I told my husband my plans of wanting to become a breeder and bring families the same joys my babies brought me. He knew it made me the happiest I ever been and he'd support me through anything. And so, Allison Family Doodles was born.

Hey y’all, I'm Sky! My primary role at Delifurry is driving, helping to get all our furry companions to their destinations which is where I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you during our pet transports. I also play a part in coordinating and scheduling trips for those I’ve only spoke with over the phone. For those I haven’t met yet, here’s a bit about me.

I grew up in a very small town, Blue Ridge, Texas, where I ran around my family’s land surrounded by cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, horses and dogs. Back then, I never imagined that animals, which felt like just another part of rural life, would play such a pivotal role in my future. The constant here was the work ethic formed being around animals as we all know what it can be like on a small farm/ranch.

I moved to Royse City for high school, which is where I met Dylan. Our friendship started with baseball and gradually moved to our shared work ethic and desire to do more with our time. Part of that came from his mom, Darla relaying her knowledge and passion to us in helping to get her beloved pets to their new homes.

After high school, I went to college at Texas Tech with a major in Economics. Following graduation I dove head first into the world of construction, managing projects and learning the ropes of business.

The real turning point for my relationship with animals came on my 21st birthday when I got my pup, C**t. He opened my eyes to the profound bond we share with our furry friends and how much there is to learn on a daily basis being with them.

In May of 2022, I left an amazing company with an awesome team and future to join forces with my best friend and business partner Dylan to help this shared dream become reality.

Together, we're doing more than just running a business; we're impacting lives, one pet transport at a time. Your trust in us with your cherished pets means the world. Here’s to many more years of making a difference in the lives of animals and their families!

What’s it like being a pet transporter?

This is a question we get asked a lot. When people ask you what you do for a living and you tell them that you travel the country with animals, it usually leads to that question! It’s such a unique job that people are generally intrigued 😂 So I’d like to break it down a bit.

The Good: There are so many fantastic things about our job!
1. We are primarily uniting or reuniting a pet and their owner. We probably have one of the few jobs where almost everyone is happy to see us! So many of our trips are us taking a puppy or kitten to their new home. With every “pupdate” or “catchat” we are trying to build the excitement for drop off. As we pull up to the driveway, we see our clients smiling from ear to ear, their kids jumping and running around the yard because they can’t contain their excitement! We are bringing the new family member to the house that everyone has been waiting on!! Our trips for people moving feel the same way too. The look of relief on our clients faces when we get their family member to their new home is awesome. They are usually so appreciative of our service and we can’t help but feel good! It honestly feels like we are Santa, making everyone’s day with each drop off. 😌
2. We get to meet a ton of awesome animals! Each pet has their own personality, and we have seen them all! From the shy and sensitive ones that come out of their shell with each pit stop, to the complete goofballs that just want to love from the moment they step foot in our vans, we have seen every personality a pet can offer! It’s so much fun interacting with each of them and learning the language of communication with each animal.
3. We get to travel the country as well! There are so many awesome spots in the United States and we’ve seen nearly all of them. We’ve been through every state at least 10 times. Most of them close to 100 honestly!

The not so good: Like almost all things, you have to take the good with the bad!
1. It can be difficult to sleep 😂 We stay in the vehicle with our passengers to ensure we can hear them if something is wrong and to limit the exposure to escapes with moving crates in and out of hotels. With a van full of animals it can be very loud at ANY TIME, even at 3 in the morning. Most of the time it is not. But occasionally we get a screamer that doesn’t stop the whole trip. I can’t blame em! If somebody put me in a strange car, with a strange person I’d be yelling to! GET ME OUT OF HERE! 😆 The noise is something you get used to with the job though. You learn patience and that the pet is just a little scared and nervous. Being able to comfort a pet enough to where they are able to relax during a stressful experience is an incredibly rewarding thing.
2. It can be heartbreaking. This is by far the toughest part of what we do on the road. 95% of our trips are uniting and reuniting and amazing. But about 5% are for difficult situations. We’ve had to take pets back to their breeder or take them to their new home because the animal is no longer a good fit for the current environment. Things have changed and the furry one is no longer able to stay at their current location. The dog is too hyper or loud for the new baby. The cat won’t stop clawing up the furniture and marking everywhere. The dog attacked me. The owner passed away and the pets need a new caretaker… With these situations we come up the driveway and the person giving up their pet(s) is in tears. They are clearly heartbroken and often feel like they failed. It’s not our job to judge or criticize and most of the time we feel deeply with what they are going through. We load our passenger up and they are confused and don’t know what’s going on. “Why was my mom crying and why am I with you?” The van has a much more somber feel and you can tell with the pet they are, quite frankly, sad. It’s our job to be gentle along the way and give that fur baby the best time that we can while on the road. But it often times doesn’t feel like enough.

I know this post is a book. I’m sorry about that. But I just wanted to give a complete picture into what it’s like on the road. The experience is overwhelming positive, but it’s certainly not for everybody. In saying that, We love what we do and are privileged to transport your sweet ones! We know we handle the most precious cargo in the world. We will continue to improve in every way that we can, for both you and your pet.

Let's take a look at one of our oldest partners that raises the biggest, coolest, pups. Lone Star Mastiffs raises the mastiff breeds of American Molossus, Boerboel, Caucasian Ovcharka, Central Asian Ovcharka and Presa de Canario breeder in Texas.

Gary is the head of the program and has been one of the best breeders that we have worked with. He graduated with a degree in the sciences, and that shows with how his kennel is ran and setup. There is a heavy emphasis on genetics and temperament testing throughout a pup’s upbringing at Gary’s facility. Below is from Lone Star:

“All our puppies are raised here on our farm. We strive to make sure our puppies are socialized to their fullest and placed in the best homes fitting their needs as well as their new owners. We use the Volhard temperament test to help us evaluate our puppies. For socialization our puppies visit the local farmers market and have friends and family over to play with them. All of our puppies come with a one year health guarantee against all congenital health defects. We also offer a Puppy Basics 101 course that teaches basic commands and starts the house training process. "

Hey guys! I’m Dylan. I’m a founder and managing member of Delifurry Pet Transport.

I know I have met a lot of you throughout our transports together. But to those of you that I have not had the privilege of meeting yet, I’d like to introduce myself.

I was born in Royse City, Texas on the family ranch. My family has raised dogs, cats, and horses ever since I can remember. I have shoveled more horse p**p, cleaned more kitty litter boxes, and loved on more puppies than most people would in 50 lifetimes. 😂

After high school, I went to Henderson State University, where played baseball and got my degree in Biology. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at HSU. I made both awesome memories and lifelong friends there.

After college, I began my professional career at an HVAC sales rep company. I learned the ins and outs of customer service at this awesome company and worked with amazing people. At this point, pet transport was more of something I did on the weekends but did not do full time yet.

Then something changed around the beginning of 2021. Me and my family realized that good transport is hard to come by. Quite frankly, we couldn’t trust anyone with our own puppies and kittens due to all of the horror stories regarding transport in the animal industry and knew that others felt the same. So we started Delifurry to give all breeders and animal lovers a reliable option so that their furbabies can get to their new homes safely and in a loving manner!
In June of 2021 I went full time with Delifurry and have been an animal man ever since. It has been quite the journey but so rewarding. ☺️
Starting a business is difficult. It’s a trek full of peaks and valleys. But I wouldn’t change it for the world! I have met some of the most awesome animals and people while at Delifurry.
I’m 2022, my best friend and business partner Skyler even came aboard and we have been able to do what we have always dreamed of! Grow a business that we know is leaving a lasting impact on this earth.

✨Passenger Spotlight✨
This one is near and dear to our heart. The Old English Bulldog!
C**t is Skyler’s bulldog and has made many road trips with us! Him and my Marlee have to be the most well-traveled dogs in the world! lol He is such a sweet boy and loves everyone.

Old English Bulldgos are sturdy, muscular and big-boned, Yet somewhat nimble and athletic. Their powerful, bulky heads have broad muzzles and furrowed brows. Their ears can be perky or hanging. They have thick, powerful necks and stocky legs. When C**t lays down he takes on a loaf of bread shape. LOL

C**t may look “ready-to-rumble” with his big muscular frame, but in reality, he is just a big sweetheart with an ager-to-please attitude.
He is very responsive to commands and exceedingly loyal to Skyler. He will bend over backwards to please. We love the C**t boy!! If you book a trip with us you might get to meet him! ❤️
