Two new friends to start off 2025!

Today a pet parent was dropping off and they told me they were so sorry for the loss of my buddy Billy. But they followed it with, “our buddy Billy.”
That stuck with me all day, our buddy Billy.

For those who don’t know, Billy was a client before I adopted him. Billy was only 3 when I met him and then I adopted him when he was 9.
At the time I adopted him, my husband and I were only living in a one bedroom apartment with two beagles already so he became the “shop dog”.

Billy lived at the old location, moved into the new location, and then moved in at home with us when we bought a house. Everyday Billy came to work with me because 1. He was a mommy’s boy, 2. He just truly loved to be at daycare.

If you brought your dog in for a meet and greet, you probably met him.
If you dropped off at daycare, you were likely greeted by him.
And I can almost guarantee your dog(s) were licked by him 😂

Every time someone clocked in at work, Billy was the first to greet them with butt wiggles and a toy in his mouth (or whatever he could find - a blanket, a bed, a ball, once the wet floor sign even).

These are just a fraction of the pictures I have of my boy loving all of his friends everyday. He had such a huge heart.

The whole MDDD family adopted Billy when I decided to and he was just the luckiest dog ever to have you all as his family.

November 1, 2012 - December 31, 2024 🪽

Yesterday I had to let my best friend go to free him of a losing battle with cancer.

Billy was the utmost important worker at Miss Drew’s. Nobody loved going to work as much as Billy.

He loved our team, he loved all his daycare friends, and he loved his siblings (but especially loved his mom ❤️‍🩹).

I’m starting 2025 with a shattered heart and will be taking some time off but my team will take care of you all in the next upcoming days as we start the new year.
