Seedy toe is a separation of the horse's hoof wall from the underlying sensitive laminae at the white line. This results in a cavity that fills with crumbling dirt and debris becoming prone to infection.

How do we treat Seedy Toe?

The separated and necrotic infected horn should be removed by your farrier or veterinarian with a hoof knife, establishing drainage and exposing the infected tissues to air, discouraging growth of anaerobic bacteria. The edges of the normal horn should be tapered to prevent the collection of infected dirt and debris.

Then the foot should be treated with an antiseptic spray like Spurr's Big Fix Antiseptic Spary and kept in a dry clean area until the tissue is healed.

NEW YORK, May 18, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The horses of the NYPD are performing their duties with more comfort and agility thanks to a gift from Eternapure & Summit Animal Health. The police horses are now receiving the exact supplement that many high-performance horses received during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. I've been feeling stuck lately, and have major anxiety over what is going to happen on the ranch in the next nine months. This came up in my memories this morning and I've read it about ten times today, and every time I stop and realize that if I would just stop worrying about the end destination, I'd find the journey so much more enjoyable. ❤️

Where you are, is where you are meant to be right now.

Even if you aren't happy
Even if you are exhausted
Even if you can't wait to move on to the next big thing

Just be present. Just be patient.

God works in mysterious ways, and His plan is rarely our plan.
