I have lots of people who ask me about Lionheads fur as they grow, so I took photos of BWR’s Caspian at 11 weeks; he has such an amazing example of a saddle. The “saddle” of a Lionhead is normally the least fluffy part on the top of their back & they tend to fill out with fur on the sides around the saddle and their mane, which is all around their head. Hence the name LIONhead! 🦁

You can typically see this saddle when they’re really little and their fur is just starting to come in, but as they get more fur until about 10 weeks+ they are fluffy all over and the saddle is not as apparent.
