Mary Kirkendoll is currently the owner of Yoga of Kindness and works as the Eudora Community Navigator through the Eudora Community Library. She has a doctorate in music from the University of Kansas and has had a fascination and love for animals since her childhood. Michael Kirkendoll is currently a tenured professor at the University of Kansas and is currently working on his certifications to be

come a sommelier. He loves to cook, golf, and has loved and cared for animals since his childhood. Mary & Mike included their black labs, Kona & Mr. Sam in their outdoor wedding ceremony in Breckenridge, CO. They currently live in Eudora, Kansas.

It has now been some time now since Mr Sam passed. It has been wonderful this week to connect with furry friends again. Although they spend much of their time wrestling and playing (as shown below), they are also very aware of how I am feeling and intuitively respond. Animals are amazing.

You can imagine how hot this sweet old dog is in our Kansas summer. She likes to rest by the AC vent and the water bowl ☺️ Wonderful animals and a magical farm. Grateful for this experience!

Pongo! March 27th - April 6th, 2021

Pongo likes to give hugs, is very attentive, and is extremely sensitive. He misses his mom but we have had wonderful walks at Sunflower Nature Park and the Mutt-Run Dog Park. We love Pongo so much!

Pet/House sitting for Millie, Scarlet, and Turbo 2/1-2/5, 2021

Millie & Scarlet are the lucky girls you see in front of the fire. We are also the lucky people who get to witness this sweetness. These girls snuggled up with us in bed and will sit with us through all of our Zoom-ing today.

Turbo the cat woke us up this morning and demanded his breakfast. There was no ignoring him😆

We look forward to the rest of our time here with these sweet furry friends!

Pet/House Sitting for Einstein (1/9-1/16 2021)

Einstein is a sweet little French Bulldog who we had the opportunity to watch while his human parents enjoyed some sun & sand. It was Einstein who made us realize that we want to have furry friends around again. At this time in our lives, it isn't the right time to adopt our own, but it has been so fun having Einstein in our lives this week that we want to do it more often. We remember how difficult it was to find reliable/caring sitters and we hope we can help others feel more comfortable leaving town.

Einstein enjoyed many walks at Sunflower Nature Park, Baker Wetlands, De Soto dog park, and all-around Eudora. He snuggled up next to Mike when he was working on the couch and also sat on my lap through hours of online meetings. Einstein cuddled up to us in bed, offering cute snorts/adorable snoring which made us giggle. We are in love with this little guy and are grateful to Lizzie & Spencer for trusting us with his care!

Meet one of your pet/house sitters!

Mary Kirkendoll received a doctorate in music from the University of Kansas and went on to teach and perform for many years. In 2015, she took a giant leap and opened a yoga studio in Eudora, Kansas, selling her flutes and following her heart. Along with yoga, Mary is currently serving as the Eudora Community Navigator and is on the Board of Directors for the Senior Resource Center for Douglas County, Douglas County Extension, and President of the Eudora CVB, and President of the Giving Garden. Mary loves taking long walks with furry companions and will offer your furry family all the kindness, compassion, and love she can. She is pictured with Kona & Mr. Sam, two dear family members who are no longer with us.

Meet one of your pet/house sitters!

Michael Kirkendoll is a tenured music professor at the University of Kansas. He is also in the process of getting certified to be a sommelier. Michael also loves to cook, golf, and travel. He is shown here at BlueJacket Crossing Vineyard & Winery with Millie, one of their winery dogs. Michael has always had a deep love for animals and he looks forward to caring for your furry family!
