Kaiser came to us with a *huge* wound covering his head and neck, and he has done an amazing job of healing so far 🥹 But the stress on his body has taken its toll, and he came down with a respiratory virus that he can't seem to shake. Because he is FIV+, he is more vulnerable to illness and has a more difficult time beating this than your average cat, and he went downhill quickly. We rushed him to the vet, where they are doing x-rays and planning to consult with a specialist. Please help us cover this extra medical cost for this poor boy who has already come so far in his recovery! Thank you 🙏🏼

We recently took in this owner surrender. Our little buddy Diego, a 5-year-old Chihuahua, had a bit of a rough night 🥺
After his neuter surgery, later on in the evening, he started having several seizures 💔
We took him to Advanced Veterinary Care Center since our regular emergency vet was too far away.

Lyla (fka Juliet) is freeeee! One of our wonderful fosters stepped up to foster her so we busted her out of Broward County Animal Care today! 🥹
If you missed the previous post, Lyla was found in a home with 10 other dogs after the trainer who lived in that home sadly passed away unexpectedly 💔
Lyla was adopted from our (now permanently closed) GKPR Pet Adoption Center in July 2022. We have no clue how or why Lyla/Juliet ended up in this trainer’s home. We have reached out to the adopter several times but sadly, she is not responding 🥲

One week ago, 35 lucky Good Karma kitties got to go on a road trip to the next part of their journeys to forever homes! 🛣️ The good news is some of our kitties have already been adopted! 🥳
Special thank you to The Brady Hunter Foundation for giving us a $4,000 grant that we won during their social media microgrant challenge! 😻
Because of this grant money, we were able to make sure all these kitties were vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, snap tested, and examined by our vet prior to transport! Their vetting and health certificates alone usually cost over $100 per cat so having this grant money was a huge blessing! 💙

We have some exciting news to end this wonderful weekend on a great note… AUGGIE (our blind AND deaf merle Aussie mix) has FOUND HER FOREVER HOME 🥹🥳
Her adopters are previous fosters and sadly, one of their resident dogs passed on Monday 😞 They have a passion to rescue a special-needs dog & did research before applying for Auggie 💕 They are super excited to start training with her & we can’t WAIT to see Auggie flourish! We are SO grateful for amazing adopters like the Barwa family✨ Cheers to many years of happiness with Auggie!!
