A word on Natural Rearing! This is a holistic approach to pet health in which raw diet and herbs are strongly emphasized as the primary method of health and prevention. Their worm and general parasite prevention comes in the form of raw garlic, grated carrot, pumpkin seed, herbal tablets, or shredded coconut depending on the day. It's worked wonders! They haven't had a drop of chemical dewormer and their f***l results came back with a ZERO worm egg count. This is highly unusual even for pups treated with "preventative" worming medications! 😁🥳
It sounds funny to say our puppies are "raised on pasture," but it's true! Once they were past infant stage, these pups started playing on grass every day and now spend all their days outside. Their kennel space is moved every few days to ensure they are on fresh ground, providing further protection against parasites.
Just like human babies, environment and nutrition is of fundamental importance for puppies while their brains, organs, hormones, and immune systems are developing. I prefer to adopt out to folks who have some familiarity and/or curiosity with holistic health methods, so let me know if you have any questions!
These pups are still receiving mama's milk daily, so they will carry her antibodies with them for several more weeks, making early vaccination unnecessary and ineffective (antibodies neutralize vaccine antigens). They have an outstanding bill of health, making them much more resilient to disease and infection than a conventionally raised animal.
