Izzy girl got her day spa treatment on today! By being pampered by the best around Liz @ https://m.facebook.com/dirtydogbyliz! Liz got to spend the afternoon loving and hanging out with Izzy, while making her fresh for the holidays! Ms.Izzy is continuing her training and being spoiled by those @ https://www.personal-paws.com/

Ms.Izzy is still currently looking for her forever home, where she is the only dog/pet! She is an amazing girl, who deserves the best forever home and companion/s. All whom cross paths with her, fall in love with her! She has plenty of energy to burn, so an active household would be right up her alley. She loves hitting trails and exploring through her nose. She has so much love to give and we all love giving it right back to her!

She is a warrior, a survivor, and very special girl! With proper care, time spent and training many things are possible! This girl keeps proving just that each day!

First pack walk with ZERO reaction. Body language was calm and she enjoyed herself very much! Was able to break her at the end of the leash and she had the happiest of tails. Very proud of this break through!

We are SO proud of you Izzy! Keep up the amazing hard work! We love you!

Izzy still searching for that perfect place and owner to call her own! But for now she's safe and gaining all life skills for her future.

Izzy is back with her family at Personal Paws!! Heather and Liz picked her up from the vet in Glenville and she was SO HAPPY to see her friends!!!

We can't thank the staff at Glenville Veterinary enough for going above and beyond for our girl, and saving her life. She still has a recovery ahead of her, but she is alive and safe. Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support 💜💜💜

Thanks to the dedicated staff and doctors at Glenville Animal Hospital, Izzy is in stable condition!! She lost around 1500ml of blood. She isn't out of the woods yet, she has to get through the night and we'll see how she is doing in the morning.

This was such an unexpected event, what was supposed to be a routine spay, turned into Izzy's fight for her life. We now will have a significant vet bill to pay! Our friends and family have been so generous thus far, and we've all invested so much time, love and money into giving Izzy the life she deserves.

If you have anything extra to spare, please help us pay for Izzh's medical expenses.

We need everyone to pray and send Izzy every ounce of your love right now. She had her spay surgery, and is now back at the vet with severe abdominal bleeding and blood loss.

Please. We have come too far with this girl and she has been through too much for this to be it.

Izzy is absolutely crushing her rehab retreat program here at Personal Paws!This beautiful, young girl deserves the best of the best. She’s so kind, playful and loving. She’s super intelligent and full of good intentions. She’s learned so much these last few weeks and will continue to become the best version of herself here at school, until she finds her forever home. Izzy would make a wonderful companion/ adventure buddy! She would do best in a home with no other animals and someone to give her the attention/ structured she needs as an individual. In return she will love you Endlessly and pay you in mass amounts of affection. Izzy is just starting her life. She was set up to fail in a home that couldn’t provide what she needed and then was abandoned. Izzy got lucky to say the least. She met two wonderful woman who have taken full responsibility for her and now has the opportunity to get a second chance at a beautiful life. Izzy has so much to offer!! Please take the time to share Izzy in hopes of finding someone who will take this gorgeous girl in and give her the life she absolutely deserves!

Izzy was supposed to get her booster vaccines today, but the doctor was out! So we hung out for a bit and she got to meet a new friend, Donna. This girl has come a long way in her training, and she still has more to go! Liz will be picking her up Tuesday to take her back again for her shots!

Hi friends! Izzy would like to thank you all for your support in getting her out of the life she was forced to live, and giving her a new chance at having a real life and family. We’d like to share a little about Izzy’s background, how she came to us, where she is now and where she is going!

Izzy came into our lives as a surrender to the town of Scotia/Glenville. Not much was known about Izzy at the time, but what was obvious was that this girl was full of love and joy, and she was a big, strong and insecure lady. After more investigating, we found out that the house Izzy was previously living in was being shared with another unspayed female. It was pretty obvious that Izzy has had at least a litter of puppies, which caused her and the other female to fight. We found bite wounds and swelling on her ankles and legs. This person gave Izzy to a complete stranger, who then falsely surrendered her to the town within less than 24 hours. Due to Izzy’s injuries, she needed to be seen by the vet for treatment. She also tested positive for Lyme, was placed on doxycycline for treatment, and it was decided she would do better in a boarding facility than the shelter while she healed. Izzy hadn’t been given a real chance to know how to interact with other dogs, which was seen when she was brought to the vet. Being insecure and never having learned to trust in humans, she reacts loudly out of fear when she sees other dogs. Izzy spent the next 15 days in a boarding facility, which was paid for by the town. At the facility, she quickly became a staff favorite! Once Izzy has met you, she never forgets you. There were multiple friends that would drive to visit her while she was there, including myself (Liz). My first impression of Izzy was her smiling and jumping up to me, all 70 something pounds of her! She is a big, strong girl that had never been taught her manners! Being a pitbull lover and parent myself, I had no problem getting right down to Izzy’s comfort level, receiving kisses and snuggles and excitable playtimes. Izzy was healing, but we needed to find a new place for her to go, as time and funding were running out to keep her there. We started raising funds, and after exhausting all of our rescue groups, a temporary foster was found! We were able to get Izzy out of the boarding facility, and into a foster home. Her foster family stepped in when no one else could! This was a less than perfect situation for Izzy and the family, but it bought us enough time to get her healed up and into the board and train program where she is now.

Izzy is currently in the board and train program at Personal Paws, LLC in Rotterdam where she is learning manners, confidence, leash walking, patience, and how to navigate the situations that have frightened her in the past. We are incredibly grateful for the staff at Personal Paws for their hard work and love with Izzy! Izzy has had a rough start at life, but that has not dulled her spirit or tainted her love for human affection. What we need now is to find the family that’s right for Izzy. And we are asking for your help! We will need to pay the rest of the bill for her training, her upcoming spay appointment, and her basic needs.
