Last, but not least, for puppy introductions. Scarlet is feisty, sweet, and cuddly. Even though she is the only girl, she has held her own against all her brothers since day one. She is the smallest of the litter, but she makes up for that in personality. She is the perfect mix of mischievous and adorable that would melt anyone's heart.

Teddy is extremely curious and loves to play. He was the first puppy that challenged the other puppies, where he would push them out of his personal space with his paw. He was also the first puppy to take the bigger dogs toys and run around with them in his mouth. As soon as you pick him up he calms down and watches you, he loves to know what is going on with you. He loves to be talked to, and scratches on his side, face, and right behind his ears.

Remi is the puppy that likes to quietly observe the rest of the mayhem. He takes in his surroundings and loves to relax with his humans. He follows my kids around when they are out to play and loves to be where they are. His favorite resting spot is in the crook of your neck where he can give you kisses as he would like.

Ranger went through a couple different names before we found one that fit him and his personality. He was the first to bark at us, and he is kind of mouthy overall. He loves to play, especially playing with the older dogs. He thinks he is bigger than he actually is and has a bit of s***k to him. He can typically be found causing mayhem with his siblings, and rough housing. Despite his love for playing and talking, he can be very cuddly and loves scratches on the side of his face.

PJ got his name because he looks a lot like Piper. Even better is that he acts like Piper too and has the same facial expressions. You can see the confusion on his face, as well as how he watches the world around him. He usually can be found exploring or avoiding the drama from his litter mates. We love his calm personality and his cuddly nature.

Time to officially introduce our newest litter, which was oddly enough also born on August 31st. (Piper's litter was born on August 31st, 2022). I have not been in the right mindset to post anything for the last couple weeks, and we have been extremely busy.

This litter had 5 boys and one girl, but we lost one boy a couple days after they were born. The remaining puppies are all very sweet, and so funny. I plan on posting for the next 5 days, to introduce each individual puppy. I also plan on listing them on the AKC Marketplace today. This is Spencer's last litter, she will be fixed in a couple months, and then she will live out her remaining life spoiled by us.

Spencer had puppies yesterday!

Sorry for the delay in posting, but yesterday was a little hectic.

Spencer did great in the surgery, and seemed ok when I picked her up. Once we got home, she started to panic and was panting like she was laboring. I sat with her for awhile and pet her, but she wouldn’t calm down. She refused to lay down so the puppies could nurse, and she was basically hyperventilating. In her two previous litters, she did not have any of these issues. After talking with the vet, they decided I needed to take her back in where they gave het additional pain meds and an anti anxiety. This seemed to calm her, and she was able to rest when we got home. The other concern is that her milk hasn’t come in fully, so we are tube feeding the babies and giving her a supplement that will help.

She had 6 puppies, 5 boys and a little girl. They are so cute, and seem to be doing great. We have one that was born with a small hole in his back, which the vet thinks may be a mild case of spina bifida. This is our first puppy out of all of our litters that has had any issues, and we are monitoring him closely. Apparently this can happen for a number of different reasons, and it is not likely to be a genetic issue. He is eating and moving like the other pups, so hopefully his prognosis will be great. I also took him back to the vet, just to gain a better understanding of what was going on since the vet techs didn’t really explain very much when I picked them up.

I have lowered Salem's adoption fee again in hopes to find him the perfect home. With him being an intact male, in a house full of intact females, we have had to limit his interaction with the other dogs. He is suitable to be used as a stud in the future, but since he is related to all of the female dogs in our home, we are being extra cautious. I adore this pup, and he is such a sweet boy, but I need to find him his forever family. Please pass on the word if you know anyone looking for a furry friend to add to their home.

My Aunt and I took Salem to visit my grandma and her friends at the nursing home. We had to wear masks until we got to my grandmas room, and we told Salem that he did too. He was not happy with us, and he took it off down the hallway. He’s normally a rule follower 😂🤣

A little throwback to the growth of the current litter that we have. It has been so fun to watch them grow up and learn new things. While raising puppies is a challenge, it can also be extremely rewarding. They are so sweet, and they are also chaotic at times. A little like the sweet and sour gummy bears some days.

I have these conversations almost daily with interested people. I get that it is an expensive breed, but there is a reason behind it. Each litter costs an average of $4000.00+ to produce, without any complications. If the Mom gets mastitis, or doesn’t heal well from the C-section, it costs more. If a puppy gets sick, needs surgery, or doesn’t make it, it also costs more. All these costs are up front, and there is no guarantee that the female will produce more than a single puppy.

POTENTIAL OWNER: How much is the puppy?

BREEDER: $4,500

POTENTIAL OWNER: What?? It's way too expensive!! I wouldn’t spend more than $500. You breeders are so over priced.

BREEDER: I am sorry you see it this way, why don't you try it yourself?

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I've never done it!

BREEDER: For FREE I can teach you how to do it, and in addition you will have the knowledge to do it again.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Perfect, thank you!

BREEDER: To start you will need a female(average cost $4,500 and up). Also a male(average cost $4,500 and up) or semen (average $1000 and up). You will need to do genetic & health testing on them to ensure healthy puppies, and no genetic deformities averages about $150 per dog. Raise and provide daily care, feeding & grooming for 2 years. (So minimal $150 per month)

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have that much money...

BREEDER: For $500 you can raise a liter and then keep one of the puppies. Obviously, you will pay the cost of whelping & care.

POTENTIAL OWNER: I can do that.

BREEDER: OK so I have a female due to whelp in 2 weeks. You will need to be available 24/7 around the clock for at least 8 weeks to help with delivery and care.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Eight weeks?? it's way too much time for me! I have to work.

BREEDER: You will also need the reproductive vet to do xrays($200-$500), possibly progesterone testing($75-$250) & C-section($1000-$5000) and initial vet care on pups until old enough to be placed ($300+)
Have on hand a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, sanitizer, absorbent tissues, scissors, hemostats, heating pad, whelping box, blankets, cleaning supplies, appropriate food with supplements for mothers, formula, medications & hand feeding supplies in case of emergency....

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have all these things!

BREEDER: For $1000 you can buy them.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Ummm .... You know, I think it might be better if I just select a puppy from you.

BREEDER: Completely up to you, we want you to be certain about your selection.

For us breeders there are no vacations or holidays, while you go to visit with family & friends we are home at our dogs side caring for them. It is a no breaks commitment.
THIS IS THE REALITY

How we spent our Holiday break in this house. So many movies, so many PJ nights cuddled on the couch with our humans. Not looking forward to the back to school schedule, with Mom going to work. We are lacking cuddles over here, where can we report the blatant neglect that is current happening 😂🤣.

We love our humans, and demand that they stay home with us 24/7.

Happy New Year Frenchie loving family!!!

We took a much needed break from social media during the holidays, but we are back. I’m not much of a New Year’s resolution type, other than to work on being a better version of myself than I was the year prior. No specific objectives in mind, just being conscious of things I could have done better in the past.

Things I’d like to get better at: Posting more frequently, whether we have puppies available or not. I’d like to provide some insight on breeding brachial (flat faced) dogs, and the challenges that are specific to French Bulldogs.

I’d like to post helpful content to help educate on French bulldog tips, as well as things to watch for when searching for your newest addition to your family. I understand that not everyone can venture to WI to choose a puppy from us, but that does not mean I wouldn’t help out. We genuinely want to help people find the perfect dog for their homes, since that lessens the chance of a dog ending up in a shelter.

On a much more personal level, I want to work towards being more organized. This also spills into the Frenchie world and social media too. Having three dogs, three kids, two cats and a bunny, on top of the puppies, a full time job, and a house to manage, it can get overwhelming quickly. Any organization I can do will hopefully help the stress levels.

Tuesday evening I noticed the puppy food was getting low, and I knew I would need to make the thirty minute trip north to restock. I thought we would have enough to get us through the worst of the weather this week, that was supposed to start on Wednesday.

Fast forward to this morning, when the wind was blowing the foot of snow around that we have gotten over the past couple days and the feel like temp was -32 degrees, we ran completely out of puppy food 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

I waited to leave, to see if it would get warmer and to let the roads get clearer. It did either of those things, so I had to suck it up and just go. Here are some pics of the evening after white knuckle driving on the highway for an hour.

02/12/2022

We’ve spent the last couple days spoiling this little beauty, as we noticed a bump on her leg during their Sunday baths. I decided to keep her separate from her three remaining litter mates, because I didn’t want to risk any further issues or infection from the puppies playing. I was able to get her to the vet today to have her looked at by the experts.

According to the vet she has a benign histiocytoma, which is a group of cells that should reabsorb back into her body in a couple weeks. We plan to keep her separated during this time, to allow her to heal and ensure she is healthy. The vet also assured us that the likelihood of reoccurrence is low, but we plan to keep a close watch on her. At this point, we are planning on keeping her in home for a couple additional months. We are doing this because we want to be able to guarantee health, we would never send a puppy with any concerns to their home, and we want to be certain that she is healed.

For every person that believes that all breeders are in it for the money, or they don’t care about their puppies must have had encounters with what we call greeders. Greeders would put a bandaid on this puppy, or hide the information from a potential family, and they would be looking to get rid of this sweet girl as soon as possible.

Our breeding program values being transparent with our forever families, ensuring healthy puppies go to their forever homes, and most importantly we value the preservation of the French bulldog breed.

So much truth in one picture. A no ask return policy is included in our contracts. If at any time it is decided that the dog is not the right fit, we will gladly take the dog back. Depending on the situation we will look for the perfect family, or we may possibly add the dog to our family. We also search for the right fit for our puppies, and interview potential homes.

Let's STOP the false narratives around breeders with responsible practices 🙌🙌

These little beauties are available for reservation. They will be ready to go to their furever homes the last week in October. We are open to friendly negotiations, but we will not tolerate bullying. (Despite the bulldog breed 😂🤣) We will not require any deposits until a contract is signed, and you have met the puppy in person or via video chat depending on preference and availability.
