How can you help?
Stop by your local grocery store and pick up a few extra things while you’re grocery shopping. Every donation makes a large impact! Donations can be dropped off to our Reston or Ashburn locations during the specified hours below:

Our donation list contains some of the donation items we are suggesting, however, we will accept ALL food items that are labeled, sealed, in original packaging, and unexpired. We ARE able to accept perishable items and encourage these donations as they are not as frequently donated but still so vital to families.

Food for Others is the largest provider of free groceries directly to people in need in Northern Virginia. They are a safe place to turn for those in need of food, serving 3,000+ households on average per week. Please consider joining Woofie’s in helping our neighbors in need.

Carleigh, Stephanie, and Ellarie, we are so proud of you and all of your hard work, perseverance, and dedication. For the 11th year in a row, over 100 pet owners came from all over the Northern Virginia area to have their pets photo taken with Santa and together we raised almost $9,000 for Homeward Trails Animal Rescue!

We are so incredibly grateful for our partner in this event each year, Ellen Zangla Photography, who donates her time for this amazing cause. In just 8 hours, she photographed nearly 200 dogs and two cats! Her dedicated helpers, Lydia and Jenna, ensured each pet was placed just right and ready for their close up. We are finishing up preparations for our 11th Annual Paws & Claus with Ellen Zangla Photography this Saturday and can't wait to see you there!

This event booked extremely quickly so we worked to add 10 additional spots this year to accommodate as many pets as logistically possible. We appreciate everyone's patience as we put this event together each year and we are so grateful for your support. For those who were unable to book a photo this year, we hope to see you next year!

About Homeward Trails:
Homeward Trails Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 2002, they secure temporary and permanent homes for thousands of dogs and cats annually who are rescued from under-resourced communities and shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them.

Homeward Trails also rescues animals internationally and has partners in numerous countries including Thailand, Kuwait, Peru, Russia, Ukraine and more. They also provide spay/neuter for hundreds of street dogs and cats annually in Puerto Rico through their GuaniCARES program.

In 2020, Homeward Trails created their Trails UP program which brings lifesaving resources, training, education, outreach and funding to Virginia’s most under-resourced communities. Trails UP provides Trap-Neuter-Return and spay/neuter programs, vaccine clinics and sustainable solutions and programs to address the root causes of animal homelessness.

Our Story

Being longtime Woofie’s customers of over 13 years and animal lovers, we were always on the lookout to transition out of the corporate world into something that can involve the whole family. So when we heard Woofie’s began franchising, we jumped at the opportunity. Today, we are excited to provide South Riding and Aldie communities the same outstanding pet care and peace of mind that we grew to love.
