The short of it: I’m “hanging up my leash”.

I am so very thankful for everyone’s support and for my clients in trusting me with the care of your pets. If you have visits remaining from a prepaid package I will of course honor them and may be willing to help out my former regular clients in a pinch as I’ll still be around.

Longer version: My heel bone is made up of cadaver bone, 9 screws and a metal plate. I have daily pain so I expected some flare up but its become problematic.

The good news for me is I have an easier way to earn money. For the last 20 years or so my husband and I have been collecting gold and silver coins and bullion. We have made friends in the industry that have helped set us up and I am officially taking over the selling end of things. I will be posting things online on our eBay store, so if you or anyone you know is interested reach out. We really have some amazing pieces that are not only really beautiful but many are rare. These pieces continue to go up in value with the price of gold and silver making them a great investment.

RIP my sweet Enzo. Cancer stole my 7 year old boy last night on my daughters 10th birthday. We are gutted. He was a big dog with a big presence that will leave an even bigger hole in my heart. He was so special. I’m heartbroken and angry. I’ll love him for the rest of my life.

Miss Porscha. This was taken yesterday when she was feeling a whole lot better than she was today. I call her Piggy a lot because of her adorable snorting sounds. Feel better soon my sweet girl 💞

Back from the Bahamas! With the school year rapidly approaching I am preparing my schedule and scheduling new client meet and greets for a select few Midday openings. I will be reaching out to my regular school year clients soon to confirm time slots. Enjoy these last weeks of summer! ☀️

First I just want to put it out there for anyone that didn’t already know-I will be on vacation from 17th-22nd.
But the main reason I am posting is just to share that this sweet girl was attacked by a dog while on our walk together today. She is ok, at least she seems to be. No open wounds. I feel terrible because she is already afraid of everything. I did my best to put myself between them while the other dogs owner frantically tried to grab his dog. I turned her behind me again and again but she did eventually get bit. It could have been so much worse I guess. That other dog just came charging out of her house like lightning. So glad the other owner was able to grab his dog before anyone was seriously injured.

With 4th of July around the corner I wanted to share this YouTube link for calming sounds that I saw going around on some of my dog groups on Facebook. Here is part of the written post:
“Today we have something for anxiety. Deep anxiety. I give you 417 Hz. Now, I’m very well aware of all the different Hz. 4-8 is not enough. It rolls right over dogs. 396 Hz is good, but the sweet spot here for what we are doing is 417 Hz. It’s also the quickest. This is due to dogs hearing. So I like this the best for them. 528 Hz and 741 Hz are too much. They can over stimulate the brain with the higher frequencies. We don’t want that. I like this for separation anxiety. Longer storms. Car rides in car for vet and on way home. We want to coax brain to adjust and calm deep seated anxiety. It would be nice to play before upcoming stress inducer. Get the brain ready for impending impact. It’s easier. So example, play 2-3 days before 4th July. I will also note that reduction in anxiety helps relieve pain. This is great background noise for everyone. Sending love😘🐾❤️

I can’t believe the end of the school year is here! It complicates my job a bit that my daughter has decided not to do summer camp like she has in years past. So it doesn’t hurt my feelings that many of my clients that are school district employees won’t be needing me much over the break until school starts again. I can focus on enjoying one of only 8 summers left with her before she heads off to college lol. Don’t worry if you are a regular client and you don’t fit that description, I will still be coming by with my little helper. 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼💞🐶

Saw a baby bobcat today! Poor video quality because as excited as I was to see it so close, I was a little concerned about the 10lb dog I was walking.

Hazy days with Hank! I am committed to giving your pups their scheduled breaks, but may shorten them by a few minutes as long as they have had a chance to “go”. I will make up the minutes when the air quality improves. I hope everyone is staying healthy! 💞 🐾
