Astrid and all of us at BMAR send a big thank you to Crystal's Critter Haven! After their recent yard sale, they donated animal supplies to several rescues. It means the world to us. And Astrid, who got a new cat tunnel! We were so lucky to get some wire catios, litter boxes (cause you can never have too many!), tons of bowls (cause where do they go? 🤔), and a bunch of other supplies that will be put to good use. Having extra supplies on hand is such a plus because you never know when a foster is going to need something. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 💙

We have survived the week! It's been a depressing start to the beginning of TNR season. 2 colonies, both with FeLV positive kittens. It's fatal. The only thing you can really do is keep them comfortable for the time they have left. I hate it. These babies had their whole lives ahead of them. Spay your cats, please. Please.

Donations are needed very badly. I'll be going through our wet food supply this morning, but we are down to our last 2 bags of dry food. And we're down to our last bag of litter. You'd be surprised how much goes in and comes out of rescue cats while they're getting back on their feet. Any amount would be greatly appreciated! TNR season always hits us so hard for supplies and gas. I'm still working on a way to accept in-person supplies. If you have donations you would like me to pick up or if you could drop off, please send me a message so your comment doesn't get lost.

Look at this sweet face! This little boy, his mom, and two younger siblings were feral strays living in someone's front yard. He desperately needed his eye removed and the whole family needed to be fixed. Despite being crazy after being trapped, the next day he could be handled. He instantly started making biscuits 🥺 One eye removal and several infections later, he is the sweetest boy l've ever met! He is working on being brave in social situations and not hiding so much. Right now he is making friends and enjoying couch time with lots of pets. He is truly an inspiration and a perfect example how you can't judge feral cats!

Now we just need a good name for him! Comment some good names for this little tabby boy. He's also available for foster or adoption! Or you can sponsor him or send a donation on his behalf 💙

Tomorrow is the big day! Even though we didn't get a single candy donation, we'll still be at the Casa Grande's Downtown Halloween Stroll this year! We have some really cute stickers for the kids and cat resources for all the cat parents and caregivers out there. Hey everyone! I was really hoping to do an event this weekend. Some fun Halloween spookiness and get some kitties placed. But my knee and back injuries are slowing me down too much. I'm going to need more time to heal. And I'm going to have to start wearing knee pads when doing my morning routines and medical. Crawling around on the floor with the cats damages your body I guess 😆 We do have our Halloween Stroll coming up and we can't wait to see everyone! What kind of informative pamphlets should our booth have?

I wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated recently. Our kitties are so happy. And that's a huge weight off. I'm still trying to get a good way for people to donate in person. All of the recent rain made that very difficult. Our property was so flooded that even our feral colony cats were coming inside to avoid the storm. We were rushing to save packages and get them into storage quickly before they were damaged by the water. Hopefully as things dry out, we can return to our regular routines. We still have a lot of work to do with local TNR, medical cases, and growing our rescue. Animals that need saving never really stops and I'm so honored to have such wonderful people helping make a difference. Thank you 🖤
