💫 Teamwork makes the dream work! 💫

We LOVE getting updates from our amazing patients! 🐾 Minnie recently had a TPLO surgery performed by Dr. Moorer and our awesome Trek team in collaboration with our friends over at .

After a smooth and successful surgery, Minnie is continuing her recovery journey with laser therapy at Advanced Veterinary Care — and she’s absolutely rocking those treatments 😎💥

We’re so proud of Minnie and thrilled to see her healing like a champ! 🐶❤️ At Trek, we believe the best care happens when veterinary teams work together — and Minnie is the perfect example of that.

Keep shining, Minnie! 🌟

🤠 Well howdy, partner! Look at this rootin’ tootin’ boy!

While the Trek Surgery team travels far and wide to help clinics with their patients’ surgical needs, we can’t help but make a few furry friends along the way. When you mosey on into , there’s a good chance you’ll be greeted by this handsome cowboy himself — the fluffiest “HOWDY” west of the Rockies!

We love teaming up with the amazing Hermosa crew and caring for their patients when surgery is the best way forward.

Until next time, partner! 🐾💫

🐾 Patient Highlight: Daisy! 🐾

Meet Daisy — the sweetest lab pup with a heart as big as her smile! 💛 Daisy came to Cottage Veterinary Hospital and was diagnosed with a rupture of her cranial cruciate ligament (that’s the doggy version of an ACL tear!)

Dr. Moorer and his team performed one of our most common and trusted surgeries — a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy)! 🦴✨ This procedure helps stabilize the knee and get pups like Daisy back to doing what they love most — running, playing, and living their best zoomie life! 🐕💨

We’re so proud to have been part of Daisy’s care team and thrilled to see her healing so well. Here’s to many more adventures ahead, sweet girl! 🌼💪

👑 Meet Jacques, the short king Frenchie!

Jacques presented with bilateral chronic otitis externa—a fancy way of saying a really bad, long-term ear infection. Don’t worry, Dr. Moorer and the Trek team were on the case! They headed over to Littleton Banfield to give this sweet guy the surgical care he needed, clearing out the infection and sending samples to the lab to check for those pesky bacteria.

Now Jacques is resting up with his bestie Flora keeping watch. 💕

While most ear infections can be handled by your primary care vet, some tough cases need a little extra help from the Trek surgical team!

🐾 Fun fact: Shortly after being adopted in May, Jacques entered an Ugly Dog Contest at a farmers market… and won FIRST place! 🏆 We think he’s a total cutie, though.

✨ Cooper, our rehab superstar! ✨

We got the sweetest update from Cooper’s mom:

“Cooper is doing well, being the best boi making sure he does his PT & icing it 🥰 Last night (just 2 days post-op!) he slept so well—it was a paws up kind of night!”

Cooper had lameness in his left pelvic limb and was diagnosed with a cranial cruciate ligament rupture. Dr. Moorer and the Trek team traveled to to perform his TPLO surgery, and now Cooper is rocking his rehab like a champ. 🐾🙌

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet boy as he raises the roof and lives his best paws-up life! 💙

🔬 Patient Spotlight: Enzo
Enzo, a 12-year-old Alaskan Husky, presented with a mass on the caudal aspect of his left antebrachium. Cytology revealed the presence of mesenchymal cells—these are the connective tissue–origin cells that can be associated with sarcomas. Because cytology alone cannot definitively classify the tumor type, histopathology is needed to confirm the diagnosis and guide prognosis.
Enzo underwent mass removal surgery with the Trek team and owners report he is recovering well! His biggest challenge at home has been convincing him to rest—he already feels like he’s ready to play with his brother, Countach.

📍 Fun fact: Enzo was rescued from a farm in Arkansas, where he was found attempting to nurse on a cat with her kittens.😸

💛 Meet Hazel (aka Hazelnut) 💛
This sweet almost 9-year-old Yorkie recently saw the Trek team for her left TPLO surgery along with correction of a grade 3/4 MPL. Hazel was such a star patient, and we loved helping her get back on the path to comfort and mobility!

Fun facts about Hazel:
🥜 Nickname: Hazelnut
🐟 Favorite treat: Hearty Wolfish Skins
🎶 Favorite toy: Her emoji squeaky toy

A big thank you to Hazel’s family for trusting us with her care—we’re so happy to be part of her journey! 💛🐾

🌟 Patient of the Week: Pickle 🌟

Last week we had the privilege of meeting Pickle during our monthly surgery day at !

Pickle is an 8-year-old Boston Terrier who came to Trek for surgery to help her breathe easier. She was diagnosed with brachycephalic upper airway syndrome, a condition common in short-nosed breeds.
During surgery, our team shortened her elongated soft palate and widened her stenotic nares (nostrils) to improve airflow. Thanks to these corrections, Pickle will be able to breathe more comfortably and enjoy life with less effort. 💙🐾

We’re so proud of Pickle and happy to be part of her journey toward better health!

🎉 Bonnie is officially back on the trail! 🐾

After undergoing TPLO surgery in March and completing her rehabilitation program a few weeks ago, Bonnie just went on her first hike since surgery — and she crushed it! 🏞️💪

The goal of surgery and rehab isn’t just healing — it’s about helping our pets return to their best, most active lives. For Bonnie, that means getting back to doing what she loves most.

We absolutely LOVE seeing updates like this from our amazing pet parents — it’s why we do what we do. 💌
