More desensitizing with one of my personal babies! This year old stud colt is learning how to respond to new things.
Due to the heat, Memphis has stayed in his stall for the past 5 days… I would say he’s happy to be out!
It has been an amazing experience to work with this mare. She came to us with a bucking problem that needed to be fixed. Not only did we find the issue behind her buck but we were able to fix it and have her ready to go back home. She really is an incredible mare and one of the smoothest horses I have thrown a leg over. We have had her for just over three weeks and she will be leaving us tomorrow.
Thank you for trusting us with your horse Morgan♥️
The video below just shows me working with her showing her that it is okay when people mount/dismount and there is no need to buck.
Memphis loves bath time in this heat♥️
Memphis is looking better by the day! So excited to see what this colt will do in his future
Some more firework fun with the horses this morning. We hope everybody is enjoying this cooler weather today in Oklahoma!
It’s firework season! Use those smoke bombs or fountains to your advantage to show those horses new things! If you live in or near Nicoma Park we highly recommend going to Liberty fireworks for whatever you need. Their prices are the best with the best staff♥️
Memphis is learning how to be quiet and well mannered horse during his desensitization training! He has been introduced to the saddle and will lunge or round pen great and stands for just about anything including the farrier and baths.
On day one Memphis could not be touched. Now, on day 7 with us he is taking to the saddle pad nicely and excelling in his ground work. A couple more days and he should be ready for his first ride!!
Memphis
Earlier this week this colt was hard to catch and did not want anything to do with people. In the short time he has been with us he has not only learned that people aren’t so bad but he is excelling in his training.
Again, keep an eye on him as he will be ready for rehoming in just a few short months!
This three year old is learning quickly and will soon have his first ride!
