This is Rose!! She and her 3 newborns came to us September 29th 2020. The babies were about a week old and they were all living on the side of a hill.
She wouldn't let us touch her, but she would let us handle the babies. Rex(b), Remy(g)and Rocky(g).
As the babies got older and weaned, we discussed what to do with Rose. Most rescues, due to time and space constraints, would get her spayed and place her back where she was living (the lady we got them from was open to this).
We decided to see if we could work with her. We let her out of the kennel with the babies and she did well, but still didn't let us touch her.
Her 3 babies have been adopted and gone to their new homes.
Over these past months she has graduated to letting us pet her.
Today, she followed me into the living room and requested love and pets. Yes, I cried!!!
She is a very sweet girl and gets along well with other cats.
We are waiting for the right home for her. She deserves a family and a great life!!! ❤
