Keep our Norman in your prayers!! He's back at the hospital.

His original pu surgery went well. He was doing well at home until last night. He didn't want to eat and is lethargic.

Doctor thinks he may have an infection. He's dehydrated.

We are blessed that he is in good hands!

I have attached the estimate, $1k plus change.

If anyone would like to help with this unexpected expense we would be truly grateful. We are 100% volunteer, all funds go to the cats!!

UPDATE: I have added a copy of the final bill, it was a total of $3017.75. We still have a small balance owing. This has severely depleted our funds, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

He is home and doing very well. He is eating well, not super happy about the cone of shame, but home!!!

We are very happy to announce that Norman is coming home today!! He has been at So Cal Animal Hospital since November 12th!! We took him in due to him having issues urinating, they advised that he was probably blocked, they were able to get a catheter in and get him unblocked and he was going to come home last Friday. However, the doctor called and advised that he was blocked again and that this would continue to happen.

She advised that he needed to have a procedure, a perineal urethrostomy. We approve to have that done and they did it on Friday. He has been under observation and doing well, so we can bring him home today.

Our original bill on the 12th was $1100. The procedure was quoted at $1700, we will need to pay that today. This will essentially wipe out our current funds. We are so thankful for everyone that has donated towards his care already. We are especially grateful for another rescue who donated 100 and loaned us enough to get him out today. Thank you!!!

If you would like to contribute to help offset this unexpected expense, we would be truly grateful. We are 100% volunteer and all funds raised goes to the cats.

Just got home from setting up our space at the Loving Cats Worldwide Catstravaganza at The Costa Mesa Hall at OC Fairgrounds!!
There are lots of great vendors with lots of cool cat stuff!!

We're really excited to hang out with the other rescues, there's going to be a lot of cats and kittens looking for their forever families.

UPDATE 11/15: Talked to vet today, Norman was going to come home today, but he got blocked again. We decided to go ahead and do surgery. He probably won't come home until Monday!! The surgery will add about $1700 to the total. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated!! We still need need quite a lot!! ❤️

UPDATE 11/13: Talked to the doctor, they were unable to catheter him last night so she was worried.
Good news this morning, they were able to get the catheter in. They are now able to give him fluids to flush out the phosphorus.

He will be staying at the hospital for a few more days and will need to be on RX food when he comes home.

Huge thank you to everyone for prayers and to those who have donated towards his care, we are so grateful!!

Every donation helps. We pretty much cleaned out the accounts to pay this bill.

UPDATE: He has a urinary blockage. He will be staying in the hospital for several days. The current estimate is 1870.

It's been a very challenging time for us. This adorable girl is Cassie. She's already been through so much. Her mama, Charity, was on the euthanasia list while pregnant.

Cassie and her siblings were born at the shelter the day before we were able to get them out. Her litter was and is on the smaller side. We almost lost Cassie when she was about a month old.

We are now fighting for her life. She has neurological fip. This just started a few days ago. She has been having seizures.

We are working with a group that is very knowledgeable about this horrible thing and treating her.

In a few short days she has improved!!

The treatment has gotten less expensive, but Cassie makes our 7th fip case currently under treatment. We are going through a vial to a vial and a half every day. Each vial costs $10. 84 days equals $840.

We could use help with the cost!!
