Day 11 of having our new dachshund puppies, Rolo and Bob. All the things I thought would be hard have been just fine. Potty training - they ask to go out! They sleep through the night. They play so well with us and each other. They have stopped barking at our chickens too. But we are struggling to bring them together with our resident cats, who really are scaredy cats. It has upset me to see my cats so upset, but I’ve spoken to others with mixed pet households and they say it will come good in time. Very encouraged that the cats have started to creep past the puppies to get upstairs, where the pups can’t go. Apart from the cat/pup thing, they are perfect! My old Dad loves to spend time with them in his care home, where they are allowed to visit.
