🐱🐶!!ATTENTION!! We are knees deep in kitten season and Asheville Humane Society needs your help! Their facilities are overflowing with animals and they are in dire need of adoptions to make room for new animals coming in. Due to the circumstances, AHS is waving all adoption fees for approved adopters through August 10th for all animals! If you are unable to adopt, they would greatly appreciate reposting of this information or willing foster parents. Even a short-term foster of an animal would be a huge help! Help us empty the shelters! 💙

🐱Meet Edwina! She is a pretty 6 year old girl who loves to meet new friends! She is full of personality and is very sweet, don’t let her smolder look fool you! Edwina would love an owner who is willing to offer lots of chin scratches and a calm environment to live in. She is very curious about life and enjoys exploring her surroundings. What makes Edwina a Broken Whisker Cat is that she had to get her right ear removed due to a medical problem. She is consistently healing from this procedure and doesn’t seem to be too bothered by her new look. Edwina will not require further medical care after she is adopted. After visiting with Edwina, I believe that she would be a great fit for anyone looking for a four legged friend to complete their home!

🐱Meet Wilson! He’s a handsome 5 year old boy who loves to show his affection! He goes about life with curiosity and adventurous intent. Wilson loves to meet new human friends and show his big personality. He is inquisitive of his surroundings but not shy. Wilson is a Broken Whisker cat because of an injury on his neck. It is continuously healing and will not need much care upon adoption. This does not at all hinder Wilson from expressing himself. Wilson’s love language is definitely physical touch so he would love a caring family who is willing to cuddle up with him! After spending time with Wilson, I can see that he would make a great addition to any family. Wilson is ready to devote his unconditional love to a family in need of a cuddle bug!

🐱Here’s Cassandra! She is a beautiful 9 year old kitty who is looking for a partner to guide her through life. She is timid at first but will slowly warm up to loving hands. What makes Cassandra a Broken Whisker cat is that she is blind and hearing impaired. This does limit her in some ways and causes her to need a little extra help maneuvering through life, but it does not hinder her ability to show love! Cassandra was a stray cat so she is not fully accustomed to being apart of a household, but I can tell that she would love to make a calm and gentle environment her forever home. Believe it or not, this little orange creature is what began my love for animals! This photo is from 9 years ago today when we first picked Rio up from the shelter. 🐱Meet Bubba! He is a sweet old man who is 12 years old. He may be slightly slow moving but that doesn’t stop him from expressing his curious nature! Bubba loves to meet new friends and will be quick to warm up. Unfortunately, Bubba was surrendered by his past owner so he is used to living with a human partner. What makes him a Broken Whisker cat, although he does have beautiful whiskers, is that he is older than most of the cats at Asheville Humane Society so he has a harder time showing his full personality and excitement to interested families. My name is Gabi Lindsey and I am a rising senior this year attending TC Roberson high school. I have been volunteering at Asheville Humane Society for several years now and have grown to love the animals and look forward to coming in each time! I have found that during each of my visits, I tend to gravitate towards the injured and less fortunate animals. These certain animals have inspired me to aid them in the search for their forever home, which they deserve as equally as the others. This also correlates to my future goal of working in the medical field and helping people every day. My goal is to help these less fortunate animals live a comfortable and happy life with a loving owner! 🐶🐱❤️
