Good morning and Happy Summer! We just wanted to let you know that for the next few weeks, we will be short 1-2 doctors for various reasons. This means that we may not be able to schedule you as quickly as you would like. If your pet has an urgent medical need, we may have to refer you to an emergency facility. We know that this is frustrating for you and apologize for any inconvenience. We much prefer to see your pets ourselves, but sometimes, we just don't have the availability. Don't worry, this is just short-term and we will soon be back to full schedule availability. We thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Calling senior dogs!

We are excited to announce that CPC has been chosen as a study site for a new product from Loyal, a company working on ways to help our furry friends live longer, happier lives!

We’re recruiting dogs aged 10 and older to participate in the STAY study for a treatment intended to extend lifespan in older dogs.

Does your dog meet these eligibility requirements?
– Aged 10 or older
– Documented proof of age
– Weighs at least 14 pounds
– Able to participate for the full four-year duration of this study

The study and associated visit expenses and lab work are provided at no cost to you.

If you’re interested, reach out to us at [email protected] and use STAY Study as your subject line. If you are not already a CPC client, please include information on documents you can provide to demonstrate your dog's age. We'll get back to you so we can schedule a screening visit to determine your dog’s eligibility.

20/06/2024

We are expecting high temperatures this week ☀️. To minimize your wait, kindly call us at 603-444-5533 before coming in. This allows us to prepare for your visit and schedule your arrival at the best time, considering our current workload and your pet's needs.
Please keep your pet's, safe and cool.

20/06/2024

Delta would like to remind everyone that if you plan to bring your pet to us this week please make sure you call ahead! With the extremely hot weather we want to minimize wait times as much as possible

It is also important to give your pets access to shade and water at all times and ideally keep them indoors in the AC for the remainder of the week.

If your pet experiences any of the below symptoms after being outside in the hot weather, seek veterinary attention as soon as possible.

-Vomiting and/or diarrhea
-Muscle tremors
-Difficulty breathing
-Excessive drooling
-Dizziness/disorientation
-Lethargy or weakness

Today and every day, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country and sacrificed for our freedom. We also remember the loyal companions who stood by their side, providing comfort and support in times of need.

As a veterinary hospital, we know the special bond between humans and animals. We've seen the joy, love, and comfort that pets bring to our lives, and we're grateful for the role they play in our families and communities.

Let's take a moment to remember the service animals, military working dogs, and all the pets who have served alongside our troops. Their loyalty, courage, and love are an inspiration to us all.

From our hospital family to yours, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your love. May we always cherish and honor the memories of those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

When the weather warms up, it's crucial to remember the dangers of leaving pets in hot cars. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

- Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes.

- Cars can heat up quickly, reaching temperatures over 100°F (38°C) in just 10 minutes.

- This can cause heatstroke, organ damage, and even death.

- If you see a pet in a hot car, call 911 or local animal control for assistance.

- If you're traveling with your pet, consider these tips:

- Bring a cooler with water and snacks.
- Plan regular breaks in shaded areas.
- Avoid traveling during the hottest part of
the day (11am-3pm).

Remember, always prioritize your pet's safety and well-being!

Your pets are safe during the eclipse unless…

04/04/2024

The biggest concern for our pets during the eclipse is for their safety and comfort level with the massive increase in people in our area. If your pets are not comfortable around crowds, leave them home. With the increase in foot and car traffic, it may be safest to leave your pets indoors.
