The Ridgecrest Quail Forever Chapter’s Rattlesnake Avoidance Training is ONE WEEK AWAY!!!! The snakes are out and about already this year and if you want your pups to be safe while enjoying the outdoors, they need this training! This is a community service event (which means we provide it at the lowest cost possible) so that our members and other members of the outdoor recreation community can take advantage of it. We only do it once a year and there are only 25 slots per day. The cost is $70 per dog and the event is over 3 days (April 28-30). There are currently only 2 slots left for Friday April 28 but there are still spots for Saturday April 29 and Sunday April 30! If we cannot fill 15 slots each day, we will have to cancel that day. Get yours reserved today to keep your puppy safe wherever you take them and allow us to continue to provide this valuable service to our community.
Rattlesnake avoidance training helps train dogs to recognize the smell, sounds, and sight of rattlesnakes in order for them to avoid them. It is completely safe and effective. The trainers for this event have been training dogs for 35 years and last year, they successfully trained every dog that came. It is a perishable skill so if your dog has not for sure run into a rattlesnake to reinforce that training, it’s a good idea to get them trained again. Dogs 6 months older can be trained. If the dog is at 6 months, the trainer will evaluate the dog prior to training to see if they are ready. If the trainer says the dog is not ready, we will refund all of your money.
The website below will allow you to reserve your spot on any of the three days. Let us know if you have any questions!

Mystic Lake is rising at an incredible rate and will be full to the brim this year. The flow over Bridge St is impressive and is at least 1/4 mile long. The last picture shows Mystic beginning to breach the northern ponds at 21 Gun and RDC.

"Can't take him to the beach for a walk because he bothers you and messes with the holiday... I'm not allowed to rent a house if I have a dog, and I can't take him.
However, I can take him to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you get lost in the mountains and you didn't have neither map nor gps; under snow because you made a detour not allowed off track; in the water because, despite the red flag, you have entered the sea and your life is in danger! And finally ....
He's just a dog, but he will find you.
And he will save you!!" Dogs are family ❤❤

Hello IVRC,

We will be hosting a Club training day this Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Prado Recreation Dog Park (17505 Euclid Ave, Chino, CA) rain or shine! We will start shortly after the facility opens at 7:30 AM. There is no cost to attend a training day but the facility does charge a $15 (cash only per couple) gate fee. Make sure to bring a chair, water and snacks for you and your dog, sturdy shoes you don't mind getting dirty, sun block/hat, leash, collar/E-collar, and whatever else you need to be comfortable in the field. As of now there isn't much rain forecasted for Saturday but I'd recommend bringing a rain jacket and good boots because it will be muddy. We also advise bringing a kennel for your vehicle, as most keep their dogs in their vehicle in between runs. The IVRC will provide all the other equipment and quality instruction! In order to make this a successful training day, please come prepared to help out in the field or at the line if you are physically able. It should be a great day of training and we look forward to seeing everyone!

Happy New Year IVRC,

Aloha Kennels and Stables Owners

We are located in western Riverside county in southern California since 2005. Scott was born and raised in Hawaii and has long history of the islands in the State. Scott went college and began work in San Diego and Los Angeles where he was able to hunt, fish and train dogs throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Mexico. Scott chose So Cal so he could live, work and be able to continue his K9 work and expand his areas of expertise, this time focusing more specifically in the western United States for upland and waterfowl disciplines. Rachel is a native southern Californian raised in the inland and coastal regions, she has been around dogs all of her life and both are very familiar with the topographies and land values where you will be working your dogs. Let us prepare you and your dog(s) with basic, intermediate and advanced behavioral, obedience, confirmation, upland game and/or waterfowl training and guide you in organizing and assembling the proper gear box for your needs.
