One of our FAVORITE days of the year (well maybe not Nola 😜)! We love Watercarnival week and the awesome people that make this town soooo much fun!

Luckily our cop caught these robbers and made them give the candy back, and our Princess made sure her unicorn's horn stayed put 🤣😂🤣

I cannot believe we are in our 5th year! Summer sure looks a little different around here.... 😜

I am very blessed to have such wonderful dogs and PEOPLE in my life. Many of you have become such valued friends! As my kiddos get older and busier, I feel very fortunate to be able to do something I love while also raising my family. After 15 years of teaching, I appreciate the flexibility and just plain FUN that I get to have every day!

Someone commented to me the other day in conversation that "I wasn't there for them when they needed someone to watch their dog". If you know me, you know I take this job very personally and love every dog that comes to stay! But after 5 years, I can also freely admit that I can't do it all! 🤪 It is not feasible for me to be here every day all day. I am very particular about the care given to MY dogs, and want them to have the very best experience possible when they are here. I like it small. I like knowing every little quirk about each of them! And while I am also extremely grateful for my awesome family that helps out, sometimes life happens and I can't juggle it all ❤️

So while I do understand how inconvenient it is if I am full or unable to take dogs some days, I am also completely grateful for soooo many of you that continue to be flexible and understanding with me, as well as the many other dog boarders in the area that help fill the need!

Cheers to year #5 and my current streak of loving dogs for 1️⃣0️⃣6️⃣ days straight.... looking forward to the rest of my summer dogs and a short break before school starts again!

Sometimes life gives you lemons.... and you make a whole lot of lemonade but you can only drink soooo much 🤪 And then you are reminded of the amazing people that surround you.... they just slice those lemons up to garnish a fishbowl margarita and life somehow doesn't seem so bad!!

So cheers to those who sign up for the laughs, heartbreaks, and gray hairs that come with loving things.... and the the WONDERFUL people that help fix those breakable things!! ❤️

I start my day job of "Mom taxi" again... so thank you for being on time! Things get a little crazy with two sports-loving kiddos, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your understanding!

You can email or send a picture of those updated shot records any time! Bordatella, Rabies & Distemper are required.... flea and tick prevention HIGHLY recommended! The ticks are awful 😦

Throwing my sucker in the dirt today....

Pouring rain and so much wind, and apparently my runny nose wants to replicate both of those phenomenons....

The mud and wet dog smell is really off the charts.

My pictures are terrible 😕

Even the SNAKES can't move out of the way they are so cold!

BUT our Huntress Addi has a big birthday tomorrow, so life is good when everyone is blow dried and we can bake her confetti cookies!

I get asked a lot "What do you do with the dogs when they are there?"...

Hold my coffee.

Today I had 22,826 steps... a little over 10 miles... but it was a pretty nice day.

By 6:30 a.m. the crew was out saying good morning, waiting for the rest of the pack to show up. At 7:30 a.m. they were enjoying breakfast while I ran my kiddos to school. By 9 a.m. we were out adventuring. The first morning hike is always lively, and even more exciting when Vin finds the muddy beaver run... so swimming to wash the mud off we went!

At 10 a.m. we had to come back for more snacks, then headed out for a trail run. Thank goodness these are all kickass dogs because I had to chase a hen turkey back across the fence so the dogs didn't bring her home 🫣

By 11 a.m., I had over 10,000 steps... I usually triple that for them. So we went back for lunch. It was too nice to stay in for long though, and by 12:30 p.m. we were out balling. I even managed to not lose any of the 4 balls I brought with (winning).

By 1:30 p.m., I had a few stragglers. So a few took afternoon naps in the sun while the swimmers went kayaking with me. Then everyone got one more last walk in because we had to go back for the atv that we left where we dropped the kayak in.

I think I can safely say we were all tired after pick-ups, so while they ate supper at 5 p.m., I cleaned and laid some new mulch down in the back three play areas.

Dogs are currently supervising my husband's yard work while I avoid putting my kids to bed...

So I guess that's what we do in a day. And tomorrow we may do it all over again, or something completely different 😜

But we all sleep well...

So "Spring Break" season gets a little crazy around here 🤪

But I could not ask for a better group to spend it with! I had 12-14 dogs out with me the last couple days.... not a squabble, not a single fight.... they share sticks (like literally, three of them hold on to one stick)... they come even when they'd rather chase a squirrel or eat deer p**p.... thank you for letting me play with them! I am beyond grateful!

Now if they could just bathe themselves..... 🤣
