Sweet Dobey. 🤍

If you’ve been following me since the summer of 2022, you might remember Dobey, a loving and playful Sphynx who stole my heart.

Dobey and I shared long mornings and evenings together. He was always by my side, eager to be part of whatever I was doing. When he wasn’t shadowing me around the apartment, he’d be busy kneading biscuits everywhere, rubbing his sweet face against mine, or curling up in a perfect loaf on my lap.

Our boy was a fighter, bravely living with HCM that eventually progressed to CHF, much like what happened with Stripie. Recently, he started a new medication, but sadly, things took an unexpected turn. On Wednesday morning, I received the heartbreaking news from his mom—Dobey had passed away. At just five years old, he had so much more love to give and life to experience.

I’ve cried a lot since hearing this news, and even more while looking through my old phone for these photos of him. I’ll forever miss his little roars, his air biscuits, and his endlessly social personality. Please send his mom all of the love and comfort possible during this time.

Rest in peace, love, paradise, and everything in between, sweetest Dobey. 🤍

On the morning of Wednesday, December 4, l'll be flying to SoCal to pick up Cleo and Socks from their foster home.

The three of us will return to Berkeley by the afternoon of Thursday, December 5. Please note that I won't be available for cat sitting during the 30 hours l"ll be out of the Bay Area.

Earlier today, I received the heartbreaking news that Stella crossed the rainbow bridge.

I cared for Stella and her brother, Stewie, this past June. She took a few visits to warm up to me, but once she did, I was graced by her sweet presence every morning and evening.

I'd often find Stella basking in the sun from the comfort of her cat tree. She'd wait for me to come over with a lick-able treat or toy, and despite being an older kitty, she was quite a great huntress. I'll miss the feeling of her fur and the soft rumble of her purrs, though I'm relieved that she is no longer suffering or in pain.

Stella, thank you for trusting me, loving me, and for being so incredibly kind while adjusting to my stay in your home. While I'm saddened that I'll no longer see you lounging near a sunny window, I will forever cherish the time we spent together. Rest in peace, love, paradise, and everything in between. 🤎

Meet Lily! 🤍 Or as I like to call her, Lil' Lils, the sweetest little you'll ever meet. She's basically a fluffy cloud of affection, and every visit with her is guaranteed to be full of fun! ☁️

Lily loves chasing her yarn toys, especially when we weave them through her favorite kitty tunnel. She is always ready to pounce! When playtime winds down, she’s quick to claim my lap for some well-deserved snuggles and purrs. After all that fun, Lily definitely earns her Greenies and Churus. 🧶💓

The last time I visited Dottie and Pongo, I brought along a Ripple Rug for some fun enrichment. I love Ripple Rugs because they’re so versatile. You can customize the ripples by adjusting the velcro and create a new challenge every time. The large holes in the top layer are perfect for cats to hunt after toys or search for treats, making playtime even more engaging! 🍗

Pongo was the first to check it out, instantly going after the feather wand toy I dragged along the rug. 🪶 Dottie was a little hesitant at first, but once I sprinkled a few treats into the holes, she joined right in on the action. Each time I brought the rug over, we spent over half an hour just playing and exploring. It was such a blast! 💖 ✨️

The Crew has been loving their revamped window area for over two months now, and I swear, they haven’t left it since I set everything up! ❤️

Biggie, Sweetie, and Dottie each have their favorite spots on the Hexaflora Cat Tree, which we customized through . In classic Sweetie fashion, she lounges atop her queendom on the pink flower cushion. 👑 Biggie and Dottie take turns on the red and orange cushions, though they’ll sneak onto Sweetie’s spot when she’s busy on one of her perimeter patrols. 🐾

Not long after placing the cat tree by the balcony windows, I added the Cloud Nine Window Hammock by , and the girls have been obsessed ever since. We also paired it with the cozy Floof Blanket (also by ) to keep things extra comfy. ✨️

It’s so wonderful to see the Crew have a space that’s truly their own, where they can soak up the sun, nap, play, and snack on their favorite treats. I couldn’t have asked for a better setup! Watching my trio bask in the sunlight whenever I leave or come home always makes my day. ☀️ Both the cat tree and the hammock have earned the stamp of approval. While they may be on the higher end, they've more than proven their worth, holding up to every bit of the chaos the Crew throws at them! 💗

I'm officially back in the Bay after spending most of September in SoCal! 🥰

I want to send a huge thank you to all of my amazing OC clients and their kitties for the kindness, love, and support I received while I was there. It was such a joy to reunite with some of you and spend time with the babies who’ve been with me since the very beginning of ! 💓

Our dear friend Tina is facing a difficult time with her beloved Max. Recently, Max was diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur after experiencing a seizure, and he’s had a few more since then. He will be seeing a cardiologist soon for a thorough check-up.

Tina does incredible work for the cat community through her independent rescue (.tini.rescue). She dedicates countless hours to ensuring her rescue cats are well-vetted and cared for, and she’s also deeply involved in TNR and helping community cats. Having fostered for Tina in the past, I’ve seen firsthand her unwavering commitment to their well-being. She truly shines in our community.

Meet Puff and Gary! 🩶 These two adorable babies are as sweet as they are cute. I can always count on them to shower me with love and attention!

You might notice the difference in Puff's eyes (the gray tabby). She has around 20% of her vision remaining, so I wear lighter and brighter clothing during our visits to make sure she can see me clearly. Gary (the tuxedo) has perfect vision, and he's just eager to join in on our fun. These two love playing with wand toys, devouring tasty churus, and scaling me like a skyscraper for cuddles! 🥰
