Happy 2nd Birthday to Jasmine’s first litter! ❤️Obi, 💙Pongo, 💜Maggie, 💚Finnegan, and 💛Honey.

We literally were up all night waiting and helping Jasmine through all the deliveries. If you’ve ever witnessed puppies being born, you know it can be very stressful. While it was a long night, it was a huge success! 5 healthy puppies and a mama who did it!!

Jasmine (R), and her daughter Honey (L) from her first litter, were out this morning for some play time after the last puppy from Jasmine’s recent litter (2nd) went home with their new family this past Monday. Both Jasmine and Honey also had some quality time at the groomer this morning. 🥰

And then a video of Mr. Blue this morning perfecting his Golden Retriever tennis ball skills. He played with that ball for close to 20-minutes. 😍 His mother, Jasmine, seen looking into the whelping box with a brief cameo, loves retrieving tennis balls. Like mother, like son. 😀

After Annie, aka Miss Pink, left with her new family early this morning, we had some one-on-one time with Mr. Blue (shown in these pictures), which is our last puppy and who is scheduled to be picked up by his new family tomorrow. Mr. Blue’s morning’s activities included feedings, naps, a nice warm bath and some couch time. 💙

New puppy owners, keep your puppy safe from Parvovirus. It is fatal but completely preventable. Do not let your puppy around dogs with unknown vaccine histories, dog parks, groomers, and pet stores. Parvo for short can be contracted from grass, ground, pet f***s, human shoes and hands. Ask friends to wash their hands before they hold your pup. (A breeder just posted on another site that all 8 of her pups have parvo, but will be okay. They took them to the vet for treatment.)

So as the sun goes down in the sky on this beautiful and busy 70-degree NC day, Annie, aka Miss Pink, and Mr. Blue are having some quality bonding time. Soon it will be dinner and then nap time inside the house. Oh, the life of a puppy! 🥰

So this morning Angus, aka Mr. Black, left with his new family. He is shown here with his two brothers and sister. In a little over an hour, Oakley, aka Mr. Red, will also be leaving us today with his new family. This coming Sunday, Annie, aka Miss Pink, will be leaving with her new family. Finally, Mr. Blue is still waiting to be chosen by his new family. If you are interested in learning more about our special little Mr. Blue, please PM us. Does your puppy bite? Found this post on a GR site. Good info.

Puppies and litter mates play and practice alpha. They either bite or hump their litter mates or practice stalking or snarl at each other. They can practice growling too. Their parents are patient, watching until it gets out of hand. Then the parents or pack adults move in and stop it with a discipline. Such is your case. Catch your puppy in the act of biting and do the following:
Puppies are notorious and are usually reined in by their parents and relatives. But we take the puppies from their biological parents before they are trained. There is one thing that works. Do what the natural parents or pack members do! When the puppy bites and continues to bite and you tell her 'no', catch her in the act of biting, turn her upside down, cradled in your hands, and hold her upside down on her back. She will resist, wiggle and squirm. Hold her until you feel her relax. Hold her upside down until you feel her relax. She will relax. This is submission. You are now the alpha. Often it takes two or three tries for a strong-willed puppy. But you are now the boss of this beautiful, notorious puppy. Puppies and dogs do not bite the alpha, very old and ancestral instinct.
Cradle or suspend puppy in the air next to your body. The dog's butt would rest against your belly, lying on your extended arms, back supported. Your hands would cradle them under their head or back. This position allows them to squirm and wiggle. My Vet, a behaviorist, uses this method for unruly and biting puppies. You are not holding the puppy down or still but allowing it to wiggle. In the real canine world, the adult pack dog rolls the puppy over and on its back on the ground, straddling the puppy with its legs so the puppy cannot get up without being bitten. Relaxation means submission. In the future catch the puppy in the act and say ‘NO BITE’ while eye staring. Puppies do not bite the alpha. So you are the alpha and your puppy will honor that. If you see him biting anyone, move in and say NO BITE. You as alpha are extending protectionist rights over your children or a senior dog too old to defend itself. He will not bite you as subordinates never bite the alpha. It is the hierarchy of old.

Here is Miss Pink, Annie, who was a little restless a short time ago while her three brothers were sleeping. I took the opportunity to hold her and pet her for about 15 minutes. She soaked in all the attention. I put her back to bed and she is now asleep. 💤

🐶🤎 Meet Gus, aka Brown Bear. Gus will be going home with his new family today. He has come a long way from 14 ounces to 12 pounds 4 ounces in 7 weeks. He is the lightest color of the litter. He loves to snuggle! We will miss you Brown Bear, but we know you will be well loved! We can’t wait to see you grow! 🤎🐶

Here are the puppies with their last night together as a “litter” since Mr. Brown, aka Gus, will be going home with his new family tomorrow morning. Three other puppies will be leaving the end of this upcoming week. Here they are after being fed, given water, and their bed changed. Some are sleeping, with others trying to get their last play time in for the evening just before we turned off the light over their whelping box. Good night puppies and sweet dreams. 🥰

We will take more videos tomorrow afternoon since the weather will be a little warmer, they enjoy being outside in the sun and fresh air, and they will begin going home soon with their new owners in a little over a week. Time is flying by! ❤️

Here they are today (02/10/2022) on a beautiful 67-degree NC sunny day at 2:00pm. When we first put them in the pen, they all within 2-3 minutes went to the bathroom and did all their business. It was like someone flipped a switch. Here you can see the active puppy in them. I will share three more videos that occurred within 20-minutes time. With each video, they are slowly losing energy. By the last video, they are mostly laying down and some beginning to sleep. Jasmine also enjoys being outside watching over them while sitting in the nice cool sun.

Here they are at 12:30pm today sleeping away and getting ready to meet some of their new owners this coming weekend for the first time. We hope to take them out this afternoon, temperature permitting, for a little play time and exercise. The main purpose for these pictures is to show how much they have grown in relation to each other and their whelping box. They are all doing great! 🥰

Puppies will be 5 weeks old tomorrow. They are growing so fast. Everyone is a little over 8 lbs. except Mr Brown. He is catching up at 7 lbs 10 oz. We only have 3 weeks left with these munchkins before they go to their new families. We are so excited for them. Enjoy our impromptu photo shoot. (I think I got the pics right.
