What does your pup really mean when they wag their tail? 🐕

While many assume a wagging tail means a happy dog, it actually signals various emotions from joy to fear or even aggression. To tell the difference, pay attention to their body language!

A super happy dog will wag their tail fast, with full-body wiggles, soft eyes, and a big grin. In contrast, a pup that needs space may wag with hard eyes and a tense body. Generally, higher tail positions and faster wags indicate stronger emotions, while a low wag often signals fear or submission.

Did you know the direction of the wag can also communicate? Dogs wag more to the right when happy and to the left when facing something negative.

Remember, each dog is unique! Tail habits can vary by breed, and short-tailed dogs may require you to look at their other body cues for clues about their feelings.

Here’s what different cat vomit colors could mean:

Clear: Usually water from drinking too much. Could signal underlying issues like diabetes if it happens often. Vet visit needed if it continues.

White Foam: Indicates an inflamed stomach with nothing to vomit. Watch for other signs of illness.

Yellow: Bile from an empty stomach. Usually not concerning unless paired with unusual behavior.

Blood: May indicate ulcers, clotting issues, or irritation from repeated vomiting. See your vet immediately.

Green: Bile or plant material. Not a concern unless your cat shows signs of illness.

Brown: Could be from food or possibly blood. If you suspect blood, visit your vet.

Your cat throwing up occasionally isn’t usually a concern, but vomiting can signal a severe illness or chronic condition you might not be aware of. Always consult your vet if vomiting persists or you notice other symptoms 😺

• Freshen their water daily and wash the bowl
• Not drinking enough? Try a pet fountain or move the bowl to a quiet spot
• Cats on wet food may drink less, while dry food eaters need more
• Always reach out to your vet if you have concerns
