Playguns Equine Care LLC had the pleasure in assisting in the care of this amazing mare while she was sick. This mare needed medications given through an IV catheter, so we had to replace a few holding sutures until she decided she didn't want the catheter in anymore so we had to give the medication directly with the permission of the vet and owner. This mare is now healthy and living her best life!

Playguns Equine Care LLC had the pleasure of treating this amazing horse with a deep laceration near the left hip. The wound was about 2.25inches deep. For over a week, Playguns Equine Care LLC cleaned the wound. It was incredible to see the wound heal so quickly with proper cleaning. With a small scar, the wound is healed and the horse is already back out into the pasture with his horse friends.

The owner, Erica Davenport, has been around horses since she was a young child. She went to college in Wilkesboro NC and graduated with an associates degree in Animal Science Technology and got the idea for the business. Erica moved to upstate NY to work at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital and worked very closely with the veterinarians. After a few years at Rood and Riddle, Erica started working part time at a local farm to teach kids how to ride and learn how to run a business. To further her education, she is finishing her degree in Veterinary Technology. Erica decided that this was the year to start Playguns Equine Care. She came up with the name from her first horse that she purchase in the honor of him. This has been a dream and finally come to real life!
