Haven't posted for a bit. These pups are growing so fast and also running so fast. Their brave and curious and so so cute! They wrestle, practice growls and barks, chew anything and everything and eat like crazy. Love em so much! Here's some random videos of their life

Day 33 & 34
Puppies love being outside! We've spent time on the patio and out in the yard and they love to explore, wrestle and generally run and pounce on everything! Today I put a sprinkler in the pen, then turned it on super low so it just bubbled out. This brought curious pups to investigate. All I could capture was several videos of their antics. Sometimed they pretend not to notice but they never forget its there and will turn and race over and around it.

Update on our puppy 9! Between transitions to the new and larger indoor digs we prepared a nice exercise yard out on the lawn under shady trees. The weather here is over 100 for each day this week! We took so many pictures and had fun with the kids. Lots of video of the new indoor pen and some great video of the pups enjoying the first and second vday outside. I also love the picture of Brita when i asked her "are you hungry?" She is ravenous all day long feeding this tribe. But we think she looks pretty good for all she has accomplished! There is also a quick picture of our 11 year old Griffon, Feanix. She is so sweet with the pups and super gentle. Enjoy!

Day 19
Today we introduce "Dot", puppy #6 in the birth order. He used to have a white collar but has since misplaced it. 😁However Dot has a small white tuft on his shoulder blades which makes him easy to spot from our vantage point. His toe tips are also white and a nice white blaze on his chest. He seems quite social and often is the first to go searching for company when he wakes up. Besides being a social little guy he is also quite vocal as you can hear in the videos. All the puppies seem interested in scaling "the wall" so we expect "the great escape" to happen any day. Yikes!

Day 16. Meet Louie!
It was a day full of busy puppies! They are really starting to get around now, curious about their surroundings, discovering one another and generally exploring all corners of their little world. All eyes are open!! Today was last day of ENS exercises and the first day we introduced a shallow dish with just a bit of goats milk. Which gives us a perfect lead to introduce Louie (lavender collar). This guy was the first pup into the goats milk and the last to leave, literally you can see the picture of him taking a nice nap after .... in the dish!!! We also included some video of him playing with other puppies and carousing around. He has fun socializing!!

Day 14!!
Puppies are just beginning to open eyes!!! They are also really beginning to get around on all 4s. It's pretty entertaining to watch...they practice walking and then get off balance and take a tumble... it's hard to fully describe just how cute this is!! We sit and just watch it happening. If you can find Mr. Orange collar, that's the little guy we call "pun'kin". He's got little white socks on front feet and white chest marking.

Day 13!!
Puppies are just beginning to open eyes!!! They are also really beginning to get around on all 4s. Day 10
6 out of 9 pups have doubled their birthrate and the other 3 are nearly there. Some other highlights we notice are puppies finding their voices and practicing their little barks and some fierce growling. Ha ha! A few are really getting up in wobbly legs and practicing something that resembles walking, not crawling. Today we introduce "Indiana", Indy for short. Indy sports the dark blue collar and was puppy #9 in birth order. Here are some pics and video of the little guy.

Day 8 - The day that got away! Somehow day 8 was a busy one and we didn't get a chance to post. All the puppies gained weight and are just too cute!! So that brings us to....
Day 9!! Introducing ....... "Scarlet" (red collar). We have come up with some nicknames for the gang. Loosely based on collar color or distinctive marking. Scarlet was the first born and does tend to remind us of that often. She has a strong voice and seems very athletic already. A white star on chest and white toe tips. She's one of the two females and makes her wishes known loud and clear. What a doll!!

Day 6 on Floating Feather
Nothing very eventful today. Puppies eat and puppies sleep. We continued with ENS exercises, nail trimming as we could catch the little paw of a sleeping puppy and a fun Zoom with our grandchildren. They love to see the puppies up close.... watch them nursing and then they giggle as an occasional pup rolls off the pack to the bottom in a milk induced coma. Fun times.

Day 3 was a big one for this new family! All the puppies and mom went off to see Dr. Dan for the big day... Tail Docking! This picture is before as we gathered the puppies together for the trek. They did amazing, except for a squeak here or there. Brita did great and watched with much interest but didn't seem overly anxious. The reunion was sweet and all of us headed home with this big event in the books! We all enjoyed lunch and the four footed members promptly took a long nap!

Day 2 has come and gone and these little darlings are thriving and gaining weight. Brita is getting the hang of the mothering process and doing a great job meeting all the needs of her brood. Puppies really put their whole selves into eating as this video shows. The picture may not be great quality but you can certainly hear them express their enjoyment!

They have arrived! Brita delivered 9 healthy, active puppies in the early Sunday morning hours, June 6th. Mother is doing well and puppies are thriving. As you see, they are all mostly dark chocolate brown so impossible to tell apart at a glance. Tiny colored whelping collars have helped us tremendously as we track weights and feeding. They are so adorable! 7 males and 2 females. Here are some pictures of puppies, mom and dad. Congratulations to daddy Aiden, owned by Anna Ziedins Artz. If you look closely at the puppy pile you can count 9 collars! We are in love!
