Just got back from Costa Rica with my friend and colleague Dr. Lindsay Schroeder! We were on the beach enjoying a sunset when she asked me if there was a bug on her back. I looked over and to my horror this giant insect was crawling up her right shoulder. I replied “UMM YES 👍 THERE IS A BUG 🐜 !!!!!!!”. I looked around to grab something to swat it off with but to my avail found nothing. I swallowed hard and used my hand to bat him off. I prayed it was not a poisonous ☠️ bug for both our sakes. This picture is perhaps underwhelming for you all. Check out the antennas! 😱. I pretty much saved her life. 😂

My sister sent me a pocket penguin so she can give me a hug anytime on those long and difficult days. When I travel, she travels with me.
