“To anyone who says “I need to dump my dog off because I work a lot and my dogs are home alone… I can’t give them the attention they need” blah blah blah…
Let me tell you, I’ve checked my camera multiple times today & my dogs have not moved once! They’re sound asleep, and will be thrilled with the love and attention they do get when we get home!!
Not once are they thinking “Gee I would love to be in a hot, Loud, concrete cell where I might get walked once a day (if even)” or “ gee it should would be nice if someone dumped me off on the side of the road so I could try to figure out how to fend for myself in 100 degree heat, pouring rain, loud scary thunderstorms, and no food or water except dirty rain puddles.” Because THAT sounds WAY better than sleeping all day in AC while waiting for my humans to come home from work.

Rescues are full. Full full.
Shelters are flooded, they are drowning.
Please save a life and keep your dog.

Yesterday was a HUGE success.
DrMark.Vet fixed 13 dogs for our spay and neuter program. THIRTEEN!!!!

There a few important things I want you to know about that sentence

— One, Dr. Mark is opening a new clinic in Beeville. What was the first thing he did when he received his new supplies and machines? He said let fix some pets for our community. That’s right, his first move was one for our community, I mean what an absolute amazing Veterinarian!

— Two, we fixed, microchipped , and vaccinated 13 dogs! Most were females 🙌🙌

—Three, since Dr. Mark is now in Beeville, I had all for owners of their pets meet me yesterday morning, and then myself and baby Arwyn drove to Beeville! The drive is not bad at all! It’s is so worth it to have back our dedicated and caring Vet.

We have some sad news.

We will be discontinuing the Spay and Neuter program.

Dr. Mark was the only one in our community who stepped up to take this program on. Now that he is no longer here, the program is no more. The Clinic that he was providing these services through will not continue the program.

Don’t worry Crossroads, I will get this figured out and have a solution in the future.

Thank you Dr. Mark for the thousands of lives you helped us fix, microchip, and vaccinate. You have had a untouchable mark on the Crossroads.

Dr. Mark is a South Texas native and began his college career studying bioengineering at Texas A&M – Kingsville with an interest in orthotics and implant design. He later switched to veterinary medicine and received his DVM in 2005 from Texas A&M University which began his career as a veterinarian.

Good evening Crossroads,
Tonight I want to make this post to make a few things clear.

My name is Megan Arreguin, I am the founder of Saving Animal Lives 24/7 Non-Profit Animal Rescue. At Saving Animal Lives we are all volunteers and there are no paid employees. Everything we do is for the animals and through our time.

Through my rescue I created the program SNYP Program. SNYP is a Spay and Neuter program offered to the community of the Crossroads area. These services are spay and neuter alterations, as well as microchipping personally owned pets in the crossroads at no cost to the pet owner. Recently we have added low cost vaccines, rabies and parvo for only $5 each! This is all made possible through a local veterinarian Crossroads Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Mark and his incredible team. This clinic has teamed up with my rescue to offer these services. However, all scheduling, information, microchips, and anything further is done through our SNYP form and me personally. We are eternally grateful that Dr. Mark and his team allow us to provide this program to the community. These services are covered through donations made by our amazing donors like, Mile High Canine Rescue. These services are desperately needed for our community and our community pets.

So far in the year that we have had this program we have spayed and neutered AND microchipped over 500 pets of the crossroads.

The amazing.
One year ago, our animal rescue partnered with Dr. Mark and his team at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic to start a Spay and Neuter Program, SNYP Spay and Neuter Your Pet.
Dr. Mark was the ONLY Veterinarian willing to take on the extra patients and run a spay and neuter program.
Since the program launched a year ago just at 500 cats and dogs of the crossroads area have been fixed AND microchipped! That is half of a thousand! That is so many unwanted pregnancies, less deaths due to pregnancies, and helping to not add to the over pet population.
This is a HUGE step in the right direction for our community.
Dr. Mark and his team are here for our community more ways than one, and this one is a huge way. This program would not exist without Crossroads.
Thank you, Dr. Mark and the CVC team, for helping our community and their pets live healthier, happier, longer lives! We are so lucky to have a veterinarian like you in our community.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you.
Thank you to Mile High Canine Rescue.
Thank you for the HUGE difference you are making in my community.
Just this year they have donated a total of $14,225 to our Spay and Neuter program Spay & Neuter Your Pet - SNYP.
That is a total of 284 dogs fixed because of them!
We have such a huge problem here in Texas with over pet population. A common reason is because pet parents cannot afford to fix their pets. MHCR has touched over 200 families and made it possible for them to have their pets fixed, which helps prevent unwanted litters, and live longer, healthier, happier lives.

From Myself and our whole community here in the Crossroads Victoria Texas area we say thank you. Thank you for helping us and our pets.

I must add that not a single local business has donated anywhere near this amount, not even half.
Thank you MHCR for being a part of this journey with us. You are more than appreciated. Thank you for showing my community compassion and helping us get on the road to a better future for our pets.

WOW. Today was another successful day of our Spay and Neuter program.
Two of the pets fixed today were “stuck” last week and would have had unwanted pregnancies, adding to the over pet population.

To date this program has fixed and microchipped over 300 pets of the Crossroads area since the end of last year.

Soooooo many people said a program like this should exist for our area.
So many people can not afford to alter their pet. Many are uneducated on the benefits.

At the end of the day we wanted to be there for those pets. To be the change that needed to happen.

This program would not be possible with out Dr. Mark and his team at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic. When I took my idea of a program to help fix peoples pets, without hesitation he wanted to help.
No other program exists like this in our area. None.
Dr. Mark didn’t see money signs, he just wanted to help our community.
I would say over 300 personally owned pets later, he has done and will continue to do just that.

Be the change you want to see in the world.
It only takes a little pebble to make a wave in the giant ocean.

We launched our Spay and Neuter program at the end of 2021.
We have had some incredible sponsors.
With their help we have fixed and microchipped over 230 animals!!!

This is literally saving THOUSANDS of lives!

To help put it in perspective, one female dog and her babies can have over 67,000 puppies in a six-year timeframe!

First I want to say thank you to the community who has responded to our SNYP program. The amount of people who have signed up is overwhelming great.
With that being said, please bare with us as we process these requests.
