Poppy found her forever home!!!
Here's an update from Poppy's momma Ilse:
"Poppy is doing great. She hangs out with us after dinner. We fold up a blanket on the floor and hid treats in it. She loves looking for apple slices. She was given her first bath on Saturday, she didn't really enjoy it but her quills looks so shinny after. My daughter loves holding her in her lap while watching TV."

Update on Poppy. This is her 4 days in. This is the most relaxed we've yet to see her, although she still jumps at everything, animate or not 😂 She still won't let us touch her and she's still losing handfuls of quills (that picture is after about 10 mins of just walking around), but slow but steady progress. @ Hedgie Hub

Here is our newest rescue all the way from Illinois. Her name is Pepina, nicknamed "Poppy" for her tendency to pop and hiss. She loves it when you hum to her. Have yet to see her lay her quills down, although she has unballed a couple of times if we're not holding her. Prayers for her to get comfortable and adjusted soon!

For the love of prickles...

It all began with allergies. Believe it or not it's true. One of our founders and resident "Hedgie Mom" Ashley Benson is allergic to almost every pet under the sun. Desperate for something to hold and cuddle she researched and found that the dander that usually caused her allergy was almost nonexistent in hedgehogs. Our founders, Samuel and Ashley Benson bought a pair of sisters, Aspen and Willow, and the love affair began. And so here we are today, bringing the joy of hedgie and hoglet cuteness to the world!

Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate hedgies in need, to provide a safe and comfortable home to hedgies in their "twilight years", and to eventually find our prickly friends their forever homes!
