Update on this handsome guy Chargers Tuff Angel (MJR One Tuff Gent x Chargers Onyx Angel) he was orphaned many years ago, at 2 months old when we lost my beautiful, black ‘Miss Dakota’. His new mom has loved him so much that he turned into this 16hnds of awesomeness. That I quote ‘in 9 years hasn’t hurt me once!’ Thank you Julie for the photos!
We are offering this lovely mature gal to the right home. She would be an amazing first horse for someone. She is patient and kind and we would love to see her with a beginner of her own. She’s an easy going walk trot with more whoa than go, she is quiet and patient on the ground and under saddle. Her last foal was several years ago, since then she’s been trail riding and works well in an arena. She has many years left to help start new riders. Chargers Brown Sugar (Chargers Troubadour x Prairie Hill Aphrodite) Chargers Snickerdoodle (Chargers Troubadour x Chargers Sapphire Dove) and Chargers Ranger (Chargers Troubadour x Seven’s Golden Elsa) having a typical morning. They’ll follow up with a napping session which will last during most of the heat of the day then back to playing and exploring together. I have to act like the paparazzi in order to get any footage of Sugar that isn’t close up (extremely close up) but being the oldest sister she keeps the others at bay for their photos.
We were sent a 3rd birthday update on the beautiful Chargers August Moon (Chargers Summer Flame x Golden Futurity’s Dollor ) , known to her family as Diva. One of the most head turning fillies we had.
Life’s been incredibly busy and this was our first outing at Los Penasquitos in quite some time. Everyone is out of shape, but everyone had a good time. My second time on and first outing with this big, black mare, EBL Spades Awesome Babe, and she was amazingly fun. Dan, the grey spicy desert horse was described by Rico Camillieri as ‘you know the singing frog from Bugs Bunny that only sings when no one is looking?’, so needless to say Michigan J. apparently only acts foolish at home. He was not only well behaved (he did side eye every bush and tree but no actual real foolishness) he lagged behind the whole ride. As for the great Pinky (Chargers High Plains Drifter), his breast collar is still a little tight, maybe after a few more rides he’ll be back in shape before we start getting the babies out to see the world.
We got an update on this cutie, Chargers Gunsmoke (Who Is John Galt x Seven’s Golden Elsa) after his first show where he could barely contain his excitement after being named Grand Champion! Congratulations Nina and Dan! We can’t wait for the next update!

When you were only born a few days ago and people already expect you to do things. Currently unnamed c**t (Chargers Troubadour x Seven’s Golden Elsa foaled 7/10/2024 and available) has emotionally passed away and is waiting on the buzzards. Perhaps his drama will help him follow in the footsteps of the great Chargers High Plains Drifter (Pinky, chestnut, ponying Cheese, palomino, in the last picture) who I seem to recall doing the exact same thing about 17yrs ago. Funny, Pinky’s become the best all around horse we could have ever asked for I’m hoping Cheese (Chargers Flame’s Orion) will learn a few things from him.
I saw this sign a while ago posted on a building on the Big Thunder Mountain ride at Disneyland. It made me snicker then but with standing a chestnut stallion, MJR One Tuff Gent, our speciality was mostly palominos. With his passing and the generosity of Sapphire Morgans to let us use their stallion, Chargers Troubadour, we were 3 for 3 this year with buckskins making our specialty this year, buckskins. Maybe I can find a nostalgic sign about what I can expect for next years foal crop.

We were able to string a few short clips together, and now we’ll put some time into coordinating our teamwork for the next video session! Maybe they are growing saddles with them. Both of these babies will be available, eventually.

Apparently she’s either planning on being a pilot or a race car driver. Maybe we should have named her Emilia Earhart or Sara Christian. Born at a very considerate time of noon there were some maiden mare issues to deal with, but things seem to be running smoothly now and we are two for two with buckskin fillies. Two down three more to go. Welcome to the world sweet baby!
When your very past due pregnant mares, EBL Spades Awesome Babe (Rum Brook Immortal Image x JMF Ace of Spades) and VJC Mystical Lady (VJC Mystical Hymn x Sensations Shira) decide they want to run around and snort they look like hippos on parade! Hopefully they’re shaking those babies loose soon so the rest of the world can enjoy them.

Living in Southern California it’s important to appreciate ocean life and apparently this little filly loves whales! We’re still coming up with a name for her but maybe something aquatic. She’s available and looking for her perfect match.
So I think Chargers Gun Smoke (Chargers Troubadour x Seven’s Golden Elsa) might need a better geography lesson. He’s not going to anywhere known for alligators, but I guess better safe than sorry.
