I recently saw that posted and thought it was a good idea. Most of our followers asks color questions so we wanted to help you understand them.

A -
Fawn- Ay
tan points - at
solid - a/a

Colors -
Cream- e/e
Blue- dd
Cocoa/ Non testable- coco
Chocolate/Rojo/Testable- bb

COMBINATION COLORS
Lilac- dd + coco
Isabella- dd + bb
Rojo - bb w/ DD or D/d
Double chocolate/Newshade rojo- bb + coco
New shade isabella - dd + bb + coco
Lilac platinum- dd + coco + ee
Isabella platinum- dd + bb + ee
Newshade rojo/double chocolate platinum- bb + coco + ee
Newshade isabella platinum- bb+coco+dd+ee

COAT PATTERNS
Brindle- Kbr or Kb
Merle- M
Pied- s/s or spsp

Fawn, Merle, and Brindle are dominant genes. Meaning with one copy they will be expressed, except when covered by another locus. Ex. Fawn commonly will cover merle and make it cryptic.

All the other colors and and patterns listed are recessive. Meaning without two copies (them being homozygous) they will not be expressed.
