This weekend, our son had the opportunity to attend the Virginia Taxidermy Association Convention. He attended several seminars, got to talk with some very talented taxidermists and competed in a taxidermist competition. He entered two bird mounts, one deer head mount and a habitat into the Amateur division. He knew the competition and judging would be much harder than when he was in the Youth division since they would have higher standards. The weeks leading up to it, he worked really hard to get his show pieces ready. When the doors opened to see the results, he was very surprised. He won first place for each of his mounts and first place for his habitat. The judges shared constructive feedback and suggestions for next time. They encouraged him to keep honing his skills, and recommended that he challenge himself next year by moving up to the Professional division. During a later award show, he was selected for the Judges Best Choice for his habitat and for one of his birds in the amateur division. We are thankful for this community that has welcomed him at the conventions and at home by helping and encouraging him with learning. I know he is very grateful too. He continues to impress us daily. To say we are proud is an understatement. More photos to come this week of his mounts.

Look what we got just got in the shop! We're so excited to have hoodies and t-shirts with our shop logo on them. Thank you to our friends and family that also purchased some to show their support. It means a lot to us.

We are placing another order on March 15, 2023. If you are interested in purchasing one, feel free to message me. The t-shirts are $25.00 and the hoodies are $40.00 for S-XL, XXL are an additional $2.00.
