I want to give a big thank you to all of my family for supporting me on my journey with Dolly. I also want to give a big thank you to Teens and Oregon Mustangs for giving all us trainers the opportunity to work with these beautiful horses. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity to grow as a horseman. Dolly taught me so much in the short time that I worked with her. I can’t wait to do this again. It was a major accomplishment and a dream come true. Dolly and I are so lucky that my parents decided to adopt her. I see many fun adventures in our future.

Competition Day part 1: Dolly did a great job today on the riding course. A lot of new accomplishments were made today. I'm so proud of this cute little mustang. I believe every horse trainer should give a competition like this a try. You'll learn a lot.

What an amazing day! I am so proud of my girl, she put the biggest smile on my face today. What a magical opportunity this has been. Video is coming soon. I'm extremely thankful for my family's support on this journey. It wouldn't have been the same here without them today.

Showmanship class! It has been years since I have done this, it was great to get back to it. I can’t wait to continue to grow in this and watch my progress. Couldn’t have asked for a better horse. I believe I was meant to get my Dolly girl this whole time.

We are in Albany Oregon at the TOM Challenge! We have done our showmanship and body conditioning classes. Tomorrow we will do our riding portion. I am so thankful to have made it this far and having my family with me!

Day 117: Working with Dolly and tarps. We are taking things like this a little slower because she gets frustrated easily. I want to take it easy to make sure to build a horse that understands that these things aren’t going to hurt her. During this whole competition I have focused on building trust with dolly. I want her to have a good strong foundation and I don’t want to ruin her mind by teaching her to much to fast. I am so glad my family will be keeping her so we can continue to work on things like this to achieve the end result that we want.

Day 110: Riding Dolly at the arena tonight while working on opening and closing gates. She is getting better at it. So proud of her.

Dolly got her new set up for the show! A BIG thanks to for braiding me a flashy new hackamore. I can’t wait to show everyone what this girl can do. Dolly loves riding in the GCH. This girls neck reigning skills have went to the next level and I’m so happy about it.

Day 109: I never said I could swing a rope, but it’s good to know Dolly isn’t bothered by one. Maybe one day I’ll learn how to rope and we can work some cows. Today was the first day I have ever swung anything over her head while riding. I’m so proud of her. We have 10 days before I go to the show. I’m beyond excited.

Day 105: Sitting on the back of Dolly thinking about how far we have both come on this journey. What an experience this has been. I am so grateful for this opportunity to grow up as a horse trainer. I’m proud of myself and I’m glad I showed myself that I could do this thing that I thought would be hard. Through all the hard stuff, I have learned so much about my horsemanship. I have shown myself that with commitment and drive to do something, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. I can’t wait to see where this love of horses takes me next. I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey.

Day 100: I can’t believe today is day 100. It seems like day 1 was just yesterday. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to have Dolly come into my life and teach me new things. I’ve learned so much and I have gained another friend, I am so thankful that my parents are going to be adopting her. I couldn’t think of a better place to have this girl go. I know she will be loved all her life by so many people. I can’t wait until we go to Oregon for our show, it’s going to be amazing.

Day 90: Dolly and I worked the barrel pattern tonight and rode with a new horse in the arena. She did fantastic. This girl definitely has some speed and she loves to go fast.

Day 89: Tonight Dolly and I went on a walk to check out some new things. She did a fantastic job. I am so glad that she continues to trust me and our connection grows stronger. This mare has taught me a lot. Loving this journey and the new things I keep learning.

Day 88: I can’t believe it’s day 88, September 1st I’ll be in Oregon with this beautiful girl and I can’t believe it’s almost over. We had to have some night time shenanigans to celebrate the last 31 days of the challenge. It’s time to try to fine tune everything that I can before the show. I’m so proud of how far we both have come.

Day 82: We did some tarp work today. Dolly may have freaked out when unrolling and rolling it back up, but she did an awesome job of walking on the tarp. I’m so happy with how last night's training session went.

Day 81: Dolly is doing so great! She is learning how to side step, she gets a little frustrated with it but she keep improving. I’m working on her leg cues and neck reigning. She still spooks at a lot of things, but I feel like we have a good solid foundation to continue building on.

Dolly and I have some raffle tickets to sale for the Teens and Oregon Mustangs foundation. Each ticket is $10 and they have some awesome prizes. This experience has been amazing and I would love for it to go on for many years, just in this short time I have learned a lot and improved on some things. This is a great opportunity to help the horses we all love while helping ourselves. Let me know if you are interested.

Day 62: Here’s to another great night filled with horses and family. It was the best to be able to ride with some family tonight, they made my day. Dolly let another new rider take a spin, I’m so glad .19 got to try her out. She is coming along nicely and no matter what happens in the end I’m proud of how far we have come. Can’t wait to see what the rest of summer has in store for us. I even got to saddle up my Dixie girl and run the barrel pattern.
